  • Placements could be more and Companies from outside state also should participate

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the course as I was interested in the Mechanical field. Students are 90% direct entry, 2% Management and 8% direct second year from Diploma. The Faculty is supporting and helps with all kinds of difficulties. Whether it is personal or related to Studies. Qualified Faculty are constantly after students so that they give their best outcome. Exams are held timely, with the utmost strictness. Students cannot do illegal practices while answering exams.

Internships Opportunities :

1. Tata Consultancy - Analytics 2. Infosys - Analytics 3. Philips - Supervisor 4. Commscope - Process Engineer 5. Umang - Software Analyst And more Projects like Coconut Absorber, Windmills, Robotics, Racing Cars and more were recognised and Companys selected students based on projects done by them.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for Campus placements in their last year from the 7th semester and 8th Semester. Even after passing out students are called and sent for Job placements. Major IT and Manufacturing companies in Goa recruit students. Also, some students are selected for training and then recruited according to their performance The highest package comes for IT of around 6lakh annually and the average is 3lakh annually. My plan would be to go for specialised courses in my stream as that gives you an edge over others and streamline your carrier to a better future.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scolarships are given to economically backward and backward communities that come under Government scholarships. Also, College gives Scholarship based on Performance Fees are hiked every semester by 10,000. Due to Covid, the fees are cut to 50% of the actual

Campus Life :

New Students joining are given a Joining party by the seniors. Events are held both Technically and culturally. All the colleges join the events and make it more competitive and fun. The event's name is Mithya and Techwar. Very popular among Students. Sponsors join at the time of events. Classrooms are clean and hygienic The library has the most books and the period of keeping the books is the best among all colleges.

Admission :

You are eligible for the course if you have done your 12th in Science stream or Diploma in Engineering The state holds an Entrance exam, for students who have passed the above-mentioned courses There are no criteria for percentage, only passing is enough. The exam name is GCET (GOA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST). The students are ranked according to the marks achieved. Students can select their choice Colleges according to the ranking. Higher marks students get in better colleges than the lower ranked ones There is a reservation for OBC AND ST Community and EWS. Lower-income students have reserved, One seat in each College. Lower-income students get a 50% fee waiver. The improvement in addmission that we can expect is the criteria to answer the Entrance exam should have a minimum percentage cutoff. Only those students can answer the exam.

Placement Experience:

Final students are eligible for placements. Companies such as turtle mint, findem, Nokia, IFB, Samsung, Adani power, HDFC Bank, Tesco, Upskill, ONGC, Jio, and many more. Last year almost everyone got placed. Average package is 10 LPA. This year though placements were not as expected because of economic depression. Even after the placements, lay offs have become common. Hence to cope up with the competition we need to keep upskilling.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been quite decent and have had 100% placements in the past. The average comes to be a bit average but the highest package so far might be above 44LPA. The main branchea company hire students from are CSE ECE and EEE. The number of students getting placed from CSE and ECE are very good and have good salary packages around 10LPA

Placement Experience:

IIT Goa offers campus placements to its students. Students become eligible for campus placements in their final year of study, i.e., in the 7th or 8th semester. Several reputed companies visit IIT Goa for campus placements, including Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, IBM, Tata Steel, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Power, etc. Higher placements offer is of 1.2cr and average placement offers are16-25 lac per annum. The percentage of students getting placed during campus placements at IIT Goa is quite high, with around 90% of students getting placed every year. The remaining students generally opt for higher studies or pursue entrepreneurship. In case no campus placement is offered, students can explore other options for employability, such as applying for jobs through job portals, professional networking sites, or by directly contacting companies. They can also consider pursuing higher education or research in their field of interest or starting their own business.
