Parvatibai Chowgule College of Science and Arts popularly known as Chowgule College is the first and only autonomous college in the state of Goa. The college has been placed in the 101-150th rank bank in the NIRF India Rankings 2018. Recently, it was selected in the DBT Star Scheme of the Government of India. It was also awarded the Best Internship Partner Award at the Goa Rugby Awards 2018.
Chowgule College offers 28 Undergraduate, 8 Postgraduate, and 2 Ph.D. programs. In addition to these, the college also offers 4 postgraduate diploma programs. As of now, it has 1340 undergraduate students, 139 postgraduate students and 8 Ph.D. students. Admission to these courses is merit-based.

Chowgule College Admissions
Admissions to undergraduate courses of Parvatibai Chowgule College are done on the basis of the marks scored in 10+2 level, or its equivalent, in the relevant subjects. Applications for undergraduate programs generally open in December.

The admission process is very simple either via credit card or They tell to take out the DD that is demand draft. This also has a website where all the recent information are posted. There are Reservation for Low cast peoplem.

- Loved the whole campus architecture, the faculty and all the student initiatives taken by the University for the betterment of the students
- The extra curricular activities are also given a lots of importance and not just your studies because the university clearly recognises the importance of both your mind and body development as a whole

- Placement opportunities provided by the University could be much better

The admission process was pretty straightforward forward, hassle free. Purely based on merit and the marks you received in your 12th standard were taken into account for the respective specific course/field you are choosing. Application forms can be found online on the college's official website around the month of may or june. No reservations are there and there was nothing that i found inconvenient about the whole admission process, the staff was very welcoming and friendly.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course is up to update and affiliated by Mumbai University. And faculties are the best part of this college. Professor Avdut Thareja is best ever Professor I have ever seen in my life. He make the concept so interesting that students can easily understand. Apart from this Canteen is also the favourite place of every students. Canteens food is the best food.

In my opinion, I have not a single negative thought in my mind about our college. The college provides us different - different types of opportunities to prove ourselves. I have gained alot of knowledge here.

Chowgule college is one of the most renowned colleges of Goa. It has a beautiful campus. A big enough campus actually. It also has a Mini cafe, coffee day, where All students like to sit during the free time. We also have huge canteen plus a multipurpose ground and also a huge football ground. Now coming to the specializations in BSc. In this college we have specializations like Bsc in botany ,zoology ,geology ,maths, chemistry ,literature and physics. Apart from this we have two auditoriums where we have conference's. The admission process is a bit hectic because you need to do a bit off paper work before getting into the college. They will make you take several rounds back-and-forth for some papers that you need for admissions. I prefer this college mostly due to the campus and the various specializations. I used the chowgule website which is www.chowgule.ac.in. here you get all the information on the admission and other aspects of college.

The college follows the latest syllabus according to the needs of that particular field. since they follow the latest curriculum so it helps in getting the job easily. The exams are conducted semester wise and practicals are also taken in the field of science subjects.

We have atleast one core paper for each semester. From second year onwards, we will be having 4 core elective papers for each semester. In first and second semester, we have practicals in measurement systems, physical geography, human geography and regional geography. The college follows the CBCS pattern.

The syllabus is framed under the CBCS pattern. So, we have 2 semesters per year. From the second year, we have elective courses for each semester. In the final year, we have a core project to be done. The topics like mineralogy, petrology, geotectonics, etc are studied in this course.

My course that is computer science drove me to this college.Computer science was not available anywhere else here in goa.and also I loved the course because it has a good scope for future. Our college infrastructure is very amazing and it is one of the most famous colleges of Goa. Our teachers are also very interactive and good and we have various other activities in our college apart from the academics. We have had various celebrity's welcomed at our college for foundation day like Terrance Lewis,Mika singh etc.

The course curriculum of this course was spanning three years. It is a combination of practicality and theoretical sessions. Sessions are mid-semester, and exams occur at the end of each semester. The exam pattern is also good of this college.
