Remarks :

IIT Roorkee is the oldest technical college in Asia yes Asia and no-1 for its Architecture program. My interest in designing inspired me to opt for this course and what can it be better by completing B.Arch program from IIT Roorkee. After clearing JEE advance I feel myself fortunate enough to qualify the cutoff criteria of IIT Roorkee for the B.Arch program I immediately registered myself for JOSAA counselling so that I can get a seat. I was allowed the seat in IIT Roorkee by successfully completing all the admission and counselling formalities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum of the college without a doubt according to the industrial standards and as per the guidelines. The curriculum helps us to understand all the basic concepts and fundamentals of architecture. The curriculum gives us an insight into values, decision making, the importance of design, principles and guidelines of architecture and interior designing.

Class Size : 56Course Fees : INR 213000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is optional if any of us want to opt for an internship we have to register our name for an internship with the placement committee of the college. If we are not opting internship we have to complete a project as per our course/curriculum. The average stipend for the internship is around Rs. 45000/-.

Placement Experience :

As being an IIT the placement of the college are superb and as per the standards of IIT. The college has a record of 100% placement. Architect Hafeez Contractor, C P Kukreja Associates, Shilpa Architects, DLF, Christopher Charles Benninger Architects are one of the top recruitment companies for B.Arch. The placement committee plays a very important role during the placement round of the campus. The placement committee is very supportive and totally guides us during every round of recruitment. The highest package was around 45 LPA and the average package was around 16 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

In comparison, to other top-notch colleges of India, the fee of IIT Roorkee is very affordable. The rate of return on investment is very good. The college provides good placement. The college also provides scholarships on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. There are more than 5+ scholarship schemes through which college provides scholarships.

Campus Life :

The campus is really beautiful and well maintained. Thomso is the 3-day event of the college where celebrity singers are invited for the performance. The college library has lots of books related to every department and international journals are also available. During the weekends we can enjoy outings in Mussorie. The college also has a basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court and swimming pool, etc which is very good for sports lovers.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are very clean and very well ventilated. The rooms are available on double sharing and single occupancy. The hostel provides us WiFi facilities and facilities like cyber cafes and cafeteria etc is also available on the hostel campus. The hostel decorum by the wardens and staff is maintained very well. The food is good and proper hygiene is maintained. The hostel security is very good. The hostel has all types of basic and modern facilities for us.

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per year

Faculty :

The faculty of the is of PhD level and with good experience. The institute is already very popular for its faculty. The faculty of the college motivates us to accept our drawbacks and convert them into our plus points. The faculty is very supportive and cooperative.

A glimpse to IITR

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement, no. Of offers here are too much big companies come here for campus placement, highest package around 2Cr and overall average around 20/22lpa.

Achitecture Course Review in DIT

Course Curriculum Overview:

I believe Architecture course curriculum is pretty heactic but one thing I dislike here is that all the optional courses are made compulsory and we end up having 8-9 subjects per semester. The curriculum is available on the college website.

How is the university, Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is only dedicated to bookish knowledge, they dont allow us for surveys, site visits, case studies or educational trips which is crucial for application of the knowledge, but no they think we are sufficiently taught by books only

IIT Roorkee has some of the best campus placements not only among all iits but all over india, depending on the branch and the job feild we are applying for we can expect an annual salary of atleast 15 lakhs to 20 lakhs. only condition is our grade point should be above 6 or 7.

Before Going to the IIT R Architecture and Planning...

Placement Experience:

Placements are provided to student in the final year of their course. Internships are provided in the prefinal year of their course. Many big companies came to our campus like google, microlsoft, amazon, deollite, godrez. If a student Academy score is good and his skills are good then he/she will get definitely placement. Average placement of my branch is 10 lakh per year. Highest placement of my branch is 48 lpa last year and lower was 1 lpa, this data is for last year only. 90% of the students get placements and the remaing 10% go for M.arch or startup of their own. I am not open to discuss my plans after I get my degree. I am a little bit confused also I am a first year student.

What IITR provides

Placement Experience:

From 7th Semester. Amazon, Google, Microsoft, etc. 2.9 Cr is the highest package and 18 LPA is the average. And for B.Arch. the highest package is 40LPA and the average is 13LPA. The companies which come are - Amazon, JP Morgan, Zomato, Mastercard, etc. 90% placement in a year. Will take a job for experience and start an architecture firm as I'll get a license after the completion of the degree by the Council of Architecture.

A lot of facilities in IIT Rorkee

Placement Experience:

Every one while studying on five-year courses becomes eligible for placements in their fourth year. Almost every big company pays a visit to university, and the typical package ranges from 6 LPA to 1 Cr depending on the department and profile. Almost everyone who chooses to participate in the placements and the placement rate on average was 85%.
