Remarks :
College managements were really good. We were provided the internal bus facility to avail. We also had bus passes because we used to walk a lot within the campus only. I must say that everybody must see the IITB once because it is heaven.
Entrance Preview :
I was appeared for the GATE exam and secured a 99.5 Percentile in the same. Through the GATE exam, I got IITB because that was my dream come true to be a part of an institution like IITs.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The electives were really good. I had taken the VHDL course as an elective because I was interested in that. Electives really create interest in the subject and it will also help you to make your CGP a good score. CGP will help you in Placements cases because most of the companies will prefer the guys with high CGPA only.
Internships Opportunities :
The general stipend was around 8000 in the year 2008 to 2010. So many companies came into our college like:1) Sony 2) Microchip 3) Bosch 4) GM 5) Hero Honda Motors Limited 6) Applied Micro.
Placement Experience :
The placements were really good because we had our DPN which is actually Department placement Nominee elected by students only. He was responsible for calling the companies and get the people recruited through the IIT. He will also ask the students about the companies that we had in our minds also so that he would call them also.
College Events :
We had a very big fest called tech-fest. It is the largest technical festival in which almost all Indian college participates and propose their technology. For example, we had Robo wars in which colleges make their robots and we had a war kind of thing. Whom so ever will win that challenge that will be the champions. Also, we had an event called Mood Indigo called Asia's largest college festival in which lots of things and competitions were there.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fees were very less in our college. It was like 26500 for a year. Also, we got a stipend of 8K per month which was sufficient enough to pay the fees.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am not sure about this and neither had any kind of research on the same. I think some sort of facility were there for which students can take advantage.
Campus Life :
Gender ratios were very less. You can judge that we had around 15 hostels on the IIT campus of which 12 of only boys and 3 for girls. We had a very big playground which can be utilized for cricket. Running also.
Hostel Facilities :
We had a tremendous facility for our hostel. The food was simply awesome. We had a gala dinner also on time so that we will enjoy the different types of food.
Alumni/Alumna :
The Alumni network is also good here. I have so many of my senior and junior in my current organization. I got emails communicates also from IITB alumni so that we get the knowledge of the activities which are going on inside the colleges.
Exam Structure :
Exams days cant be forgotten, We had some stress in mind but they were not very stressful actually. Teachers were helpful and they will ask the things that they teach only. They don't give the exam paper that was out of the scope.
Faculty :
The faculty was really good. All of them have the reach experience of teaching. They were very kind in dealing with the students. They would not force the students to study. We had enough freedom to choose the courses and timings also. The other part was we had an option to take Video Lectures also from the hostel if we missed the class.
