Remarks :

No. College provides all the necessary facilities needed for students. All facilities are very good. Infrastructure is little old which can be improved. Food and sports facilities are very good. Environment around campus is very pleasing.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum spans different specialization from systems to machine learning. Each course has assigned nuber of hours to be taught and 2 exams spread out through semester. Along with these assignments and projects also are major parts of the courses which further helps students learn and practice the concepts.

Placement Experience :

Placements at IIT Kanpur is as good as any other IIT in the country which all best companies recruiting in the placement season. The placements for Computer Science and engineering department is among the best. Every year every student gets placend in the first week of the placements.

College Events :

The college celebrates two fest each year distributed in each of the two semesters. In the first semester College's cultural fest is celebrated named Antaragni which sees participation of thousands of people in various cultural events. In the second semester College observes Techkriti which is technological fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is feasible with less than 1 lakh of money to be paid every year for post graduate students. With the stipend provided it is easy for students to cover up for their own expenses for fees and staying. Tution fee is pretty low. Hostel charges are affordable with mess charges to be paid every month by students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college provides multiple scholarship but I have very less information about them. If anyone wants to avail scholarship they can go through institute website for all the scholarship available for the students ranging from merit scholarship to government scholarship.

Campus Life :

IIT Kanpur provides high end sport and lab facilities. It has fully functional cricket and football ground with night lights. Indoor international level sports arenas for indoor sports. A world class swimming pool. Labs with all kinds of facilities available.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are old but are provided with best in class facilities for evry students. Post graduate students are offered single sharing room so that it's easier for them to concentrate on their research. The food quality of mess is very good. We approximately pay 12,000 per semester for the mess charges and 10,000 per semester for hostel rent charges.

External Expense : Rs. 2000 - Rs. 4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network of IIT Kanpur is very strong. College organises reunion of alumnus from earlier batch each year with all the fun. Students can meet alumnus also. Institute awards alumnus of institute every year who are doing well in thier field or at very important positions.

Admission :

The admission in IIT Kanpur for M. Tech happens through GATE. GATE is yearly exam which tests the understanding of students applying for the course of their choice. It is 3 hour exam happening in the month of February every year from which all IITs take their PG students. According to percentile received colleges admission to the students which students can accept or reject according to thier preferences. Some colleges conduct exams over GATE results for further screening. The results of all the process is received by June after which the admission process into the college begins.

Faculty :

The faculties of our institute are best in the world with very high understanding of the ares they are working or teaching. The process of faculty selection makes sure only the best among join the institution for teaching. All the professor are extremely helpful throughout the course and projects helping and guiding the students wherever necessary.

Campus placement like 2 months summer intern, 6 months intern + full time can be offered by companies, Most student get full time opportunity through 2 month summer intern Students having offer for intern are eligible for full time also since cahncea of ppo is not consider as their offer Sometimes offer revoked student get additional support for next one year through college for placement, student getting offer for package can again apply for 2x offer if new company visit for twice the offer Generally package are within 15-20 lpa for ece, cse and electrical student and psu also visit for offer direct through interview so many opportunity are given to student than expected

Mostly i came to know that in post graduates their are less chance as most of the placements focus is on graduate level students. Masters in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2023-2035

Placement Experience:

During the third semester of the master of technology, students are eligible to sit in campus placements. In the Electrical Engineering Department most of the top semiconductor companies like Intel qualcomm, micron, Texas instruments, onsemi, cadence, amd visited this year. Number of offers made is 80 out of 140 candidates. The highest package is 49 LPA by Qualcomm. 60 per cent got placed this year due to poor market conditions. I am going to work in a semiconductor company after completing my degree.

THE BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS OF IIT KANPUR

Placement Experience:

Placements of IITK are very good. Even during recession the average package was 15lpa. Highest package was 60lpa and lowest was 12lpa. If someone is not getting placed then professors help in their own domain. After degree, I am planning to work in a product based company after degree.

Campus Placements are great, there is a market slowdown but most(70%) of them from mtech got placed this year and still the placements are going on. Other than that you will have internship opportunities from the college or as well as outside the campus as well. From the last two years, 6-month internship is provided to mtech as well.
