Hostel Facilities:

Hostel fees structure: already given before, check college fees section, Mess (food). There are around 5/6 general messes where everyone can eat and some girls' hostel has their own separate mess. These messes are independent company-run. Messes are situated in various parts of the campus like restaurants and caution: Mess(food) isn't available inside your hostel block, you have to walk to a nearby mess for food. Which mess you want to take is completely on you. 46,000 fee per year you have to pay for mess food. You can't opt-out from Mess in 1st and 2nd year. But you can leave the mess after that in senior year when you can stay in the hostel without mess service. You have to arrange food for yourself which is available in the nearby local run mess where food is much better than the college Mess. Mess ranking (based on food quality): 1) FC 2, 2) Annapoorna, 3) Apoorva. Worst mess: FC 1. Local run outside mess ranking: 1) Manna Mess 2) Sindi Mess 3) Rajasthani.

Hostel Facilities:

There are different levels of hostels available for girls in Manipal. Atleast in the area I was into. The first year was in a triple sharing shared bathroom hostel. Where I had my best experience. I have no complaint about cleaning, hygiene etc. It had a curfew of 9:30pm. The second year was in a double sharing attached bathroom. The problem was the hostel was too huge, it had around 30000 or more girls. Sometimes I had problems with the caretakers or the warden however those are my personal experience. Otherwise the hostel facilities are very good. For my experience in the third year I moved out of the campus and stayed in a rented house with three flatmates. Which was around 8k per person with fully furnished house. It was a great experience and our owners was too sweet to us which made it even more easy.

There are good hangout spots around the campus
Food court is great, if you want convience Food court 1 is a better option, If you're fine with walking a bit long I'd recommend Food Court 2 as they're food taste better comparatively

Dislikes

Campus could have been better, it's kinda conjusted

Campus Life:

There will be fests throughout the year so if you're a social person good for you. Campus Life is pretty chill and peaceful won't be like you're typical Indian college. People here are pretty friendly too and easily approachable

The best learning place for an extrovert. Probably the only college with so many practical classes which i really liked.
The staff is really helpful and understanding and are always there for you.

Dislikes

I have no complains but my friends found it not worth the money.
The placement was very average, but i think other colleges had worse.

Campus Life:

The MIC campus feels like a resort when u enter, but inside the four walls u get AC class rooms , radio studio, tv Studio, computer labs, mac labs and more. The mahe campus which MIC too have access to is 500 meters away and has multiple food courts and mess , stalls etc. The student plaza is the cherry on cake as it just brings everyone close.

Manipal Institute of Communication is an institute that brings out the best in a student, academically as well as extra-curricularly. The college opened up another side of mine that I've never explore before.
Another side of me being the socially active side of mine in as many cultural events as possible. That is another aspect of MIC that excites the students, which is the fact that there is inclusivity for everyone in the institute.

Dislikes

One will come across conflicts of interest as there will be differences in opinions between the students as well as the students and the faculty in MIC as does any other institution.
College changes a lot of people. The seniors' advice to the juniors was to find a few real companions and keep them close. At the same time, be careful as to who you keep close as it can very well backfire at you

Campus Life:

The social life of MIC is the most budding one as there are countless events and clubs that one can be a part of. The campus life in MIC is just so freeing and amazing as it does not restrict you in any way. In fact it does quite the opposite as to bringing you out of your shell. Breaking your comfort zones are a gradual part of being an MIC student as there will be an event to participate in every now and then. Some of them are Onam, Raasmela, Ethnic day, Durgo Pujo, Cinema day, Article 19 (the flagship event of MIC), Namma Sante, Namma Angadi, Artifex etc. MIC is also very technologically advanced in terms of infrastructure as they have up to date TV and production studio, 2 computer labs, a Mac lab other than the 2 computer labs and much more. Sports activities are also encouraged. There is a club for every other talent such as Meraki for Dance, Unplugged for singing, Kalamanch for Theatre and Drama, and Neem club for environmentalists. The student portal is called MU SLCM.

Campus Life:

Life is campus is better compared to most other colleges in India cause the town of Manipal is a student town, which makes life easier for all students. The hostel is a bit strict though with perm times and whatnot. The hostel campus does provide students with everything they need. But you also have the option to live outside in apartments for rent. Depending on which college you're in Manipal, there is a variety of fest that you can attend. MIC had two major fests- Proverb, which was a debate fest, and Article 19, which was a normal college fest with lots of different competitions. Both of the college fests weren't held in the last two years of my college because of the pandemic. We do have sports day once every year. There are a lot of clubs and organizations run by students in Manipal that anyone from any college can join.

Campus Life:

The social life at Manipal University is just amazing. There is a student plaza where all students join with their friends for snacks or leisure, they have various stationery as well as hostel supply stores, bakeries, etc. The clubs at Manipal are very important to be a part of in every students' time there. Many fests are organized in their names, for instance, MAFIA, the music, and the fine arts club, organize stages for talented students to portray their artforms. The classrooms at the university are very well equipped with smart boards, and they are all fully air-conditioned. The university has an infinity swimming pool and gym which requires a membership. They also have basketball, football, and badminton courts. All the students are part of a discord group which every new admit must make sure they are part of as it is great fun and also it will be very helpful to meet deadlines or share information regarding assignments, tests, and such submissions.

Campus Life:

The college is endowed with a well equipped library, 3 differet labs, Radio production station and a video production lab. Further students under MAHE also get free access to a host of online courses from across the globe that is extremely useful.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel facilities are the most comfortable facility. They provide laundry service, AC, food service, cleaning service and so mhch more. Well maintained hostels that are clean and comfortable to live in. The furniture are of very good quality. The security provided in the hostel is very good. Students feel safe and secure in hostel environment.
