We can apply for internships on our own. But if someone didnt vet any offers then college provided them roles in companies like DJB, and DMS. The duration was 1 month and summer internships. They were without a stipend.
Since I have not done an internship till now so I can't share my experience. But I can tell you about it from the experience of my seniors. This time T&P cell fixed the internship of 3rd-year students in the Delhi Jal board. Students worked in the field of wastewater treatment and management. Students also get the opportunity of an industrial visit early irrespective of their year. Generally, you have to work under a professor or project manager on a project and it is a group project. Since the internship is of limited time so most of the students are able to complete 1 or 2 projects in their internship time period.
Placements can be as high as 16L per year. The average package of placements is 4L-5L. But only top students get wide opportunities in the placement area, which is why the percentage of students getting placements is not great. Companies like IOCL, HPCL and TCS are among the major recruiters that come to this college.
Yes iUsctAAin Delhi Jal board in my 2nd Year of the course and in the Food Corporation of India. The Food Corporation of India is a statutory body created and run by the Government of India. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India formed by the enactment of Food Corporation Act, 1964 by the Parliament of India.
Here placement is average as many opt for higher studies the reason behind this is maybe because only a few companies visit. In which TCS is a mass recruiter. The average package here is 3-4 lakh per annum and the highest goes up to 6lakhs per annum. Here placement ratio is about 50%. I will also opt for higher studies after getting a degree
Our college provides an internship in 3rd year. But at present there is no placement cell running upon which the students of our college(including me) are working.
