How good is UIET Chandigarh?

Alumni say that while UIET Chandigarh may not be the best, it is a fairly good institution. It has been developing decently over the past years. It is backed by some good faculty, decent placement record, the stature of being an engineering department of world famous university i.e. Panjab University. CSE and IT being the most demanded job fields, enjoy the status of being the best branches of the college. Various companies like Infosys, Gemini Solutions, Unisys, AlertEnterprise, Deloitte, ZS Associates, ZScaler, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, KPMG, MuSigma, Aricent etc have been visiting the campus for placements.

What are some cons of studying at UIET Chandigarh?

If you are looking for class room studies then teachers here are not good. They all maybe scholars or have cleared the GATE exam twice or thrice, but they don't know how to teach.I think there is a lack of conversation and interactions between seniors and juniors because all live in separate hostels and hostels are given on the basis of rank. One good thing which comes from the above is that you get a lot of free time to prepare for competitive exams as we need only 75% attendance. If one does not have 75% attendance, the student party will compel the authorities to make students having 35% attendance also sit for the exams. Lab practicals are limited to courses which in some cases are very outdated as compared to the latest technology available. Lack of good faculty/teachers for some subjects which are very interesting like Artificial intelligence.

How are the CSE placements at UIET Chandigarh?

If candidates want a comfortable IT job at an MNC, the CSE department may be an ideal choice to secure one without much difficulty and almost everyone eligible in that department receives at least an INR 33.5 LPA package with ease. However, for those seeking greater returns on investment, more effort may be required. Jobs offering salaries of INR 47 LPA are still accessible but will demand at least some dedication on candidates' part.

How are the mechanical placements at UIET Chandigarh?

Coming to the placement of mechanical engineering in UIET, there hasnt been any notable surge. Instead, Mechanical and Biotechnology remain among the least placed branches of the college.

UIET Chandigarh Scholarship 2025: Amount, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

my college: pros and cons

Fees and Financial Aid:

at the time of the admission, we have to pay an amount of 40000. this will be considered as the fee for your first semester (or registration fee).then at the end the first semester we have to deposit rupees 81000, which is the fee of your second semester. so in total for all four years, the course fee can range fron 5 to 6 lakh. the fee remains same for all other courses as well. scholarships are provided purely on the basis of merit.

We have to pay every year total amount around which keeps increasing every year and it was one lakh twenty thousand which we have to pay in two installments one is seventy thousand and the second one will be around thirty or forty thousand rupees taken and we have to pay examination fe seprate for every semester which was three thousand

My Personal Review

First year fee is 115000 and it increases year by year. You only have to pay tution fee and exam fee. And registration fee at the time of admission. There are many scholorships you can apply. As for scholorship you have to check yourself

Saga of my life

As there are 2 semesters in 1st year and fee structure for 1st installment we have to submit 40000 that was taken during the time of registration and second installment was taken during the time of December that was around 81000 in the 1st year there was not any type of relaxation in the fee structure but exceptions were there for TWS children Various scholarships and financial aids were provided by our college like scholarships for TWS students and there were also some scholarship in which exams were taken to give financial aid

I paid 40000 as seat acceptance fee during JAC Chandigarh counselling which was further adjusted in my college fee. Later on, 81000 rs was paid and that combined fee is my first year fee. Ews category can get some relaxation according to income. No such exemption for sc/st

Fees is around 450000 for one semester and around 35000 is activity charge which is paid annually. Also there are different fees for students applied under different categories.Also there is fees relaxation under various schemes like single parents , freedom fighter etc .

UIET Panjab University Chandigarh College, Hostel and Campus review

Annual fee structure is divided in 2 installments per year. 60% fee in 1st sem and 40% in next sem. Annual fee is gradually increasing year by year. All types of scholarship accepted here, they do not provide any. Only ews fee in 20% of total fee, the rest other have to pay full fee

The year wise fees I paid upto approximately 120000. I pay fees in two installments, for first semester upto 75000 and 45000 for second semester of the year. As per the notification giving by the faculty of the university the first installment will be paid in between the month of June or July and the second installment should be paid in between the month of November or December. Same as my classmates pay And no scholarship is available

There are two types of fees quota general and EWS fees For general category: Generally students have to pay 40000 as security fee which is then included in your regular fee. After payment of 40000 student have to pay 80000 for the second semester. For EWS category: People who gets seat in EWS category have to pay very less amount which is 1/10 of the regular fee. In total students have to pay 120000 per year for the general category Various scholarship is available for general EWS and OBC category SC ST category like merit cum means in which students get 19000 per year based on their academics. Examination fees is generally charged as 3000 per semester. Other fees included library fees are included in the semester fees. People can also get loan in the UIetSBI branch which is located in the main campus.
