As UIET is in Panjab University campus life is very good.
Campus size and vibes-Good market under campus attractive campus and crowd

Dislikes

Hinglish medium of teaching i not liked but after some time i like it.
The course curriculum can be demanding and require a lot of hard work from students.

I liked the campus location in which it is located in .main Chandigarh
The roads and the connectivity is very good here. You can always travel by any means here.

Dislikes

Most of the teachers don't have adequate knowledge to teach
In mechanical section female ratio is very low

Placement Experience:

College placement is above average. Students start to get placed in 7th semester. In order to get a good placement you CG should be above 7. You should have worked in a various projects. Your communication skills has to be good. The high placement offered is 42 lakh of campus. And 25 lacs on campus nearly 70% of students get placed.

The faculty is highly experienced and supportive.
The Panjab University library boasts an impressive catalogue of books.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is lacking compared to the private universities.
Coding culture is worse compared to IITs/NITs

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent. Most CSE and IT students get placed at 7+ LPA CTC. Highest package is around 20 LPA. For CSE and IT branches, the median package is around 7 LPA, and average package is slightly higher than that, around 9 - 10 LPA.

There's no issue of attendance you can have a minimum of 10% attendance after this you can give final exam without any obligation
The dance and drama club these are the most reputed clubs of our college

Dislikes

There's no relative marking absolute marking is there so you have to score more to maintain your cgpa
Mess food is not that good you have to either order it from Zomato or swiggy

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offered and students placed from our college to big tech gaints like Flipkart, policy bazar, ZS, AMEX, Amazon, Credit etc so there's no issue of campus placement the one thing you have to do is to maintain your CGPA nothing else.

UIET is improvising in terms of placements, if you are worthy enough and have put efforts throughout, you will get placed easily. TPC is very responsible and understanding.
Oxygen rich water coolers, library and reading halls are very good.

Dislikes

Food Quality at Stuc and hostels and Canteen are not very good, there is a problem of proper cleanliness.
UIET’s Campus is very small. 3 blocks and 1 canteen. You don’t get proper seating to have lunch.

Placement Experience:

7th semester is the placement season. Companies visited: Amex, ZS Associates, Stonewain, KPMG, Deloitte, DeltaX, Infosys, Cognizant, Incedo, Caelius Consulting, GreyB, IndiaP2P, uTrade, L&T, Lumenci, ProcDNA, Netmartz Infotech, Unthinkable Solutions Avg offers made: 5 (Some took 1-2, some took 10, Zs mass recruited 30 students) Highest Package: 19 lpa by AMEX (Analyst) Lowest: 4.5 lpa by Infosys (SDE trainee) 75% students getting their placements (expected)

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good, if you score an average cgpa pf 7.5 , you can get a pretty good Placement, students become eligible for sitting in the placements in 3rd year, many major companies come to this college, but personally i might go for masters degree after this

Panjab University campus is well maintained and big
We can attend all the fests as UIET student.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old of UIET but it's decently maintained.
Classroom are also old without AC and smart board facilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is old and isn't industrial ready and thus students are also not industrial ready. I chose Electronics and communications cause Centra government is now focusing on semiconductor industries. And thus i choose ECE

Politics is too much over here in month of admission
Hostel problem is a nuisance for one not scored good

I am a student of electronics and communication engineering and bring a first year the curriculum is decent enough not hard . If you do your best it will surely go on and don't know about second and third or fourth year .

Girls to boys ratio is around 1:3.5 in ece branch
Infrastructure is old and can easily be improved.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 4th year for placement. There were many companies which visited here like ZS Associates, American Express, Accenture, Mahindra Tech, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant and TCS etc. Average placement was 9.11 LPA for UIET in 2024 and highest was 44 LPA on campus. Well in ECE branch around 80% students get placed with average 10 LPA.

Course is good everything is good except the teachers eee is interesting and also have variety of roles in future but if you get less marks even in interested branch its irrelevant. So try to avoid taking EEE branch

Mess food is very low quality and quite expensive

Placements for mechanical branch is quite impressive. Many companies like - L&T, HPCL, JSW, IOGL, whice have core industrial work comes for placement after the 6th sem, students were eligible for placement. In 2024 overall 70% students of mechanical engineering were placed.
