They all maybe scholars or have cleared the GATE exam twice or thrice, but they don't know how to teach.I think there is a lack of conversation and interactions between seniors and juniors because all live in separate hostels and hostels are given on the basis of rank. One good thing which comes from the above is that you get a lot of free time to prepare for competitive exams as we need only 75% attendance. If one does not have 75% attendance, the student party will compel the authorities to make students having 35% attendance also sit for the exams. Lab practicals are limited to courses which in some cases are very outdated as compared to the latest technology available. Lack of good faculty/teachers for some subjects which are very interesting like Artificial intelligence.

How are the CSE placements at UIET Chandigarh?

Fees and Financial Aid:

The yearly fee is roughly ?1.1 lakh, paid in two installments over the year. Examination fees are around ?3000 per semester. Both fees increase every year by around 5%. Scholarship is provided for students with low income backgrounds.

An Improving College having various opportunities for students with various pros and cons to consider

Odd semester fees: 65000 (average) Even semester fees: 36000 (average) Exam fees for each semester: 3200 (it is increasing by 200 rupees every year) Hostel fees: 6000 per semester who got allotted on merit basis else 4220 per month for guest basis hostels. Scholarships: Topper for each branch gets some amount. All Central and State Govt scholarships are shared for each category. Relaxation in fees is given to students admitted under PM J&K Relief policy (i dont remember proper name).

Then it is very easy to join if you are a student of a Panjab University. The placement of UIET is very much good as compared to other state government and many lower NITs. And Course Fee is also very Low So ROI is very good.

The fee structure of this course is nearly 1 lakh 15 thousand. The complete cost of my college journey is around 6-7 lakh. There are so many scholarship opportunities here. You can check on the official websites of Panjab University and UIET also.

Summary of 4 year long journey of UIET

Dislikes

Skills like machine learning and deep learning are being promoted but fields like Full Stack development , DevOps are being downsized .

Every year tuitiion fees were hiked at a rate of about 10k per year but generally the students politics organisation protested against the authorities and leading to undergoing a roll back of their decision . Tuition fees : 4 lacs (four years) Examination fees : 2500 per semester = 0.2 lacs (four years) UTECHNOS fees : 0.05 lacs total fees : 4.25 lacs PMSS were available for the students in which they mere abstained from paying half of the tution fees . There are many projects under various professors based on machine learning and they offered a stipend of 5,000 Rs per month .

The fee structure is available on the official website of UIET. But, this time fees have increased by 9000 rupees. Yes, scholarships are available for EWS, Single Parents. You may avail of these scholarships by filling out forms or asking the authority.

Good and worthy college to get into based on JEE rank if you want a descent placement and college life.

Approximately annual fee in UIET is 1,00,000 apart from examination fees which is around 2500 per semester. Apart from that hostel fees is 6000 per semester excluding mess charges. Various scholarships are provided to the students and details for the same are given on PU official website itself.

Well, to be honest, fees are actually quite Low here and ROI is quite high for that. - They usually Hike fees for every batch that comes in, currently it's touching 1 Lakh / per Year ~ 4lakh ( 4 years) - They have many scholarship programs and fee discounts for SC/ST and some PM programs as well for rural or backward Classes. You can check their website for more details they have mentioned it all.

UIET(a good College)

This college is under state government so one of the boons is it has very low fees as compared to other colleges. Not only college fees but other resources fees like hostel fees and various fees are comparatively very low than other colleges. College provides scholarships to girl children and students who belong to the Economically weaker section and various other scholarships are available. Campus placements are fine and not that high but its okay as college is in its growing stage.

Fee hike of 5000 is done after every year . But then it is also reduced. Scholarships are also being provided to meritorious students. Internships are provided to children's. One can do campus jobs such as librarian in university library.
