Campus group is good volleyball court is there I like to play volleyball in it we can use it till 1 am. Students are nice my friends are good they got a good rank in cet so they are here every one is intelligent and they are good at sports too fun..
Hostel Life is very nice hostel is well maintained the pg hostel is the best we have a lot of fun with our friends and the mess is worth it good to get a good mess and hostel the rooms are compact but the renovation is going on the hostels are best .
Mess food is very good they give us variety of food and change menu every day the staff there is too friendly and good to be around they treat us as a family and we feel safe in hostel the hostel gate close at 11:30 pm which is a fair time to be in.

Dislikes

The toilet of hostel are not that good since the students don't maintain them properly and the campus is also small the hostel has bugs like lizards and cockroaches which I feel are discussing the bugs are not too much but still I don't like them in.

Internships Opportunities:

There are many internship opportunities due to the clubs there are in VJTI like VR ,Aero, etc and the company also give us opportunity to learn the work for 2 to 3 months and then if you are good at it you will get internship.

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Likes

I liked the professors expertise in the respective subjects and their passion whilst teaching us those subjects.
The food at the canteen is amazing and affordable. The catering people are the most efficient and cooperative bunch of folks.
All the batches of my college are pretty competitive as they consist only of state-wide toppers and the most brilliant minds of the state of Maharashtra.

Dislikes

Some of the infrastructure and labs are old and not up-to-date.
The washrooms are in bad condition and must have seen better days.
The boys to girls ratio is very poor especially in my batch. There is only one girl per ten guys.

My College Life Experience

Likes

I like the campus because it is full of trees provides shadow
Gymkhana because we can play Table Tennis , Carrom and Chess
Library for study it is well developed and has all types of books in it

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are old they need renovation
Canteen is small and it's hard to find a place to sit during lunch break
The free internet they provide in library or in study space is so slow and disconnects again and again

The behaviour of teachers is fantastic and they care for students.
All the teachers here are experienced in their respective field.
The friendly environment here is very helpful for a student.

Dislikes

Competition is very high for getting in the college.
The infrastructure is quite old but getting repaired.
There's nothing to much to make issue for this place.

Now by the new education policy the 6th semester is for internship and there are very famous company like morgan stanley, goldman sachs , barclays etc are there in internship average stipend is across Rs. 1-1.5 lakh per month.

A dA decent college but better than any tier 3 college

Ac classrooms with wifi in each class good seating arrangement in classroom
Seniors are good they gives good suggestions and helps juniors
Availablity of a big library(ambedkar library) with good wifi strength and every type of book

Infrastructure is very poor as it's a old college so the labs and equipments are in bad condition
Placements are decreasing year by year and they takes too much fees at the time of admission
Except few faculties others are very arrogant and their teachings method are very old

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

VJTI college is one of the finest colleges in India and Maharashtra. Our college has best faculties, best placements and the events happening here are just awesome. Talking about girls to boys ratio then in my branch there are 24 girls out of 80.
Almost every faculty member is a PhD holder. Majority of them are from IIts and foreign Universities. Even some faculties are also research associate at IIT Bombay.
Overall campus life is good. Institute crowd is from all over the India. Majority from Maharashtra itself. There are many clubs. 'Rangwardhan' and 'Pratibimb' are the main cultural club. There are clubs for sport, literature, entrepreneurship too.

Dislikes

There are two things which I really felt disappointed when I came to this college. One is campus area and other one is infrastructure. Infrastructure is not that bad but not as per what college has its reputation across country.
College has 16 acres of campus. which is quite small as compared to other engineering colleges. But having 16 acres of campus in area like South Bombay is impressive.
College infrastructure is not that good. But college administration has started renovation almost half of the renovation is done. Some labs, classrooms and hostels are still under renovation.

Internships Opportunities:

Many of our seniors got internship at MNCs and one of them got internship at Google, Paris too. Even TBA(tTechnical Bussines Incubator) of our college offer internship to our own students to work in startups led by college students.

One thing i dislike here is the infrastructure, since it is a very old college so it should be renovated. It has very old buildings which really look ugly. It should not be like that. Here there is no proper sanitation facilities. Ground is not clean

VJTI: A closer view

Likes

I actually liked the exposure it offers for various things, rather than just learning from curriculum. There are several events by committees to promote such things.
Some faculty are too interactive, and sometimes even provide aid for research too.
And obvioiusly the placement and internships, the highest intern last year was paid 5.9 lakhs for 2 months work at France google.

Dislikes

The college being 137 years old it infrastucturally lacks.
The hostel facility could be improved by various means, for instance the sanitation and power cuts could be taken in account
Very strict attendance policies for some dept. as this may lead to excessive pressure.

Internships Opportunities:

As Talked earlier this college aces in internships too, even google hires interns from it. There are also research based internships in the college itself along with faculty. The highest stipend was 5.9 Lpa for 2 months at google, France.

VJTI For the Less knowers

Everyone here is a topper and knowledgeable in different fields.The students here are very smart and they engage and make various projects and organize events in various domains.The seniors are also very helpful and there is no ragging.
The professors and HOD's are very experienced and focus on logic building rather than rote learning.
Compared to the level of exposure and the type of studious environment the fees are very affordable.

Dislikes

Some of the labs wi-fi is very slow ant can't manage high speed to many students at a time.
The college is autonomous but still there are unrelated subjects like mechanics,iks,bioscience for first year students.
Attendance system is poor.most of the students succesfully mark attendance by their friends without attending classes.

Placement Experience:

Mostly all students are applicable for internships and ppo's in 4th year of the course after passing their CGPA criteria.Many companies like Google ,Microsoft, Oracle, JP Morgan ,Texas Instruments,TCS etc have visited.The details of placement can be found on the vjti website.Percent of students getting placed is greater than 80% and rest of them go for higher studies or other exams such as govt exams etc.

VJTI is an autonomous institution which has been recognised as a tier 1 College. This recognisation has been given by Government of Maharashtra. VJTI Mumbai is also considered as a deemed institute.
