The exams are conducted with good level and students can also make them comfortable by studying properly, choosing this course in this college was my dream which came true and everything here is too good
I chose the civil branch as want to apply for competitive exams. Being admitted to VJTI college was my plus point because it has one of the best faculty members that guide you the best. Every faculty member is Ph.D. from well-known universities with some experience. Exams n internals work on the continuous evaluation process.
Before admission all i heard was VJTI is the best engineering college in Maharashtra,3years in college and I can confidently say this is the worst place considering infrastructure, faculty teaching, syllabus
The course is slightly different from that of the MU. Not just that, Unlike MU, the grading and exam syllabus are all very flexible. The system for grading is relative, meaning you are graded based on how you performed relative to the class average. So if the paper is too easy, even if you score high, your grade might not be high if the class average is high. Similarly, if you score low on a tough paper, your grade might still be good depending on how well the rest of the batch performed. The course is updated every few years, currently ours is the first batch to pursue the newest updated course. In terms of exposure, I wouldn't say it the best, but its still good. We have already finished 3 projects 2 of which were done on-site and one inside college campus. These projects are graded very strictly and are compulsory for the entire class. Even though it is done in groups, you need to prepare individual site plans, plane table sheets, maps, survey books, etc. The academics is also good. The various subject courses are taught with a side lab so that you get to practically see and experience everything that is being taught. There are also subjects to help enhance your communication skills, courses on economics related to engineering, various extra subjects (which you can chooses to take) on exams such as UPSE, GRE, GMAT, TOFFL, and GATE. The faculty is also really experienced and has a practical approach of teaching where you're presented with a problem and open discussions are done on them which makes the entire learning process really interesting.
Being an autonomous institute, it has the latest possible syllabus for its student. Industrial exoerts regularly visit our campus as alumni or by invitation. Faculty wise core subjects are unbeatable like Prof KK Sangle from the Structural Department. Also, Prof Vivek B. Deshmukh from Geotechnical Department is a renowned consultant in the field of Geotechnical Engg. Other Faculty for Hydrology (Prof Pravin Chaudhari) & from Geospatial ( Prof Mhaske) are to one extent very helpful and supportive. However I wouldn't say 'the best'for any other faculty i e for lab & theory courses of concrete Technology or for Construction Materials.
Curriculum at VJTI is updated and up to the mark. Students get to learn the latest concepts. The labs also consist of the latest software. The students are taught using real life examples. Industry visits and visiting faculty helps the students to understand various difficult situation. Overall the faculty beig industry experience the curriculum is designed in such a manner that Students graduated from this college are ready for industry.
Fee is 84304 for open category students. This may vary according to the category of the student. Basic structure follows 15000- Tution fees. 45000- Development fees only applicable to open students. Other fees like Gymkhana, Library etc.
govt aided so feasable, yearly pattern Mostly IT professionals and software engineers. The highest package in the IT field was 43 Lacs, Average is 11 Lacs, and the lowest is 6 Lacs. Around 85% student got an internship in 3rd year in most IT companies
The course curriculum is quite good, they have reduced subjects recently to 5 per semester but still 9-5 college is there but Yes,we have 5 days week so it compensates. Labs are there frequently and most important problem is that in the era of computers they give you alot of stuff to write which affects the studies as well.
Expensive. But if you belong to certain reserved categories then it may be low. For open, it is around 80k, for OBC it's 40k, for SC and ST it's merely 3k. If you belong to electrical, electronics, extc, mechanical then there's Schindler scholarship with full fee reimbursement.
