Course Curriculum Overview:

Papers in the curriculum like international relations and India's foreign policy are so much relevant in the real world and knowing about the politics happening in the world helps in understanding the situations. The improvement can be done in the settings of the question papers as they got repeated every year, new set of questions should be given which should be relevant in the nature. Timing of exams is 3 hours and that's enough but you need to write around 8 to 10 pages for one que.

Fees is very minimal as compared to other Pvt. Colleges
You'll get a chance to meet students from different states especially north-eastern students. Many foreigners also take admission in DU. These things i think very hard to see in pvt. Colleges

Dislikes

Thing which I dislike the most is about Professors. There are professors who don't come to take lectures. They are really good but they engage more in other things. No doubt many sincere professors are also there who teach really good.
Violence during Election Campaign. If you're interested in college politics then this time of college is best but if you don't then trust me it is worst phase.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was interested in history that's why I took this course and there is a lot of craze about DU so this is the only reason why I took admission in DU. Mine was history so they took us on many study tour like Rakhigarhi. And when you interact with a lot of people of different region of our country, you learn a lot about the real world. I was never in any society but my sister is so I can see how her personality has changed after joining society. Only studying in DU will not help, If you really want to live your life and want to know the real world then you should join societies although they give a lot of work but you should know how to manage because this is what we have to do in real life. I think management should focus more on supervising on teachers' attendance because teachers are also the reason behind short attendance of students. We used to wait for 4-5 hrs but at the time of class they give a msg to CR that class is cancelled.

Environment is very good totally silent idle for education purpose
Library is best in class , support staffs and we can find almost every books of related courses

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is very well designed by UGC . Together with Theory a lot of practical is also done . In college there is very well equipped Labs . There are labs with both conventional systems as well as new equipment and methodology. Seperate programming lab is also there. Every semester is designed with real world applications for research purposes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bsc Life sciences is the course which includes chemistry, botany and zoology . This course help me to explore my potential in all field. I get many opportunities to do research internship in chemistry/ botany/ zoology department. My college gives better option for life science to explore your potential in any field .

The size of the college campus is quite large. We have separate football fround,basketball court and there is botanical garden too.
The administration of the college is very helpful an responsive

Too much fights in the college campus among students
The politics in my college is not very good

I didn't choose the course, i kind of got it because my marks were less in cuet. I have a theoritical course so it is not very helpful in realworld scenarios but extra subjects like sec and vac help in enhancing those skills

College Societies were just amazing as they helped me a lot in personality development
Faculty was good and easily approachable

Dislikes

Placementcell was not good like average packages were was very less
Exams were always conducted in off weird seasons like I use to sweat like hell during may and shiver in december ending while seating in classrooms to give my exam

Placement Experience:

There was a placementcell which was not that good. Internships and job both were majorly in sales. Internship offered around 2 to 20K and job opportunities were from 2.5 LPA to 5 LPA. Overall they were not that helpful to me as opportunities in HR were very less.

Infrastructure and overall crowd, easy transportation

Office administration sometimes doesn't listen and they work according to their own preferences in all government colleges
Nobody updates for any changes in curriculum that can affect our results

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 2nd semester of their course only for the internship. Several decent companies like Narolac, ICICI Bank etc have made offers for placements and many others for internships The highest package as per last year's annual report was 23 lakh and even and increase in the percentage of students placed was also seen My plan after getting my degree is to pursue higher studies if I don't find any decent placement as per my requirements

B.Sc Life Sciences from Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi in depth

You can get a Hons degree in Zoology, Botany, chemistry if you convert your B.Sc life Sci degree from 3 years to 4 years in DU itself.
We got 4 hours of laboratory classes for every core subject even the general electives paired with 2 hours of theory class in a week.

Dislikes

The canteen food could have been improved.
The campus buildings are getting old and rusty, I mean there is a new building made and one in under construction but we definately need renovation in the old ones.

Placement Experience:

Generally you dont have placement after B.Sc courses. But if you are keen to have one you can definately find it off campus with different professors and you can definately do jobs in corporate but yeah the placement is not that good.
