Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Fees and Financial Aid:

Dyal Singh College's fee structure has been quite confusing over the years. In the first year, the fee was around Rs. 15000, which then dropped to Rs. 10000 in the second year. But instead of continuing the trend, it increased again to Rs. 12000 in the third year. There is no clear pattern to how fees are se, which makes it difficult to understand. Usually, you'd expect fees to either stay the same or gradually increase but here the random ups and downs don't make much sense. If there's a reason behind these fluctuations, it hasn't been clearly communicated well to the students.

It was the yearly fees that I was asked to pay for this course in the ews category and I've heard that the fees will decrease in the upcoming years of my education. 14605 includes all types of fees be it tution fees.. admission fees etc. only you've to pay exam fees which is around 1500 when you'll be filling exam forms.

In my first year, I paid a fee which was almost 14000. In my second year I paid a fee which was almost 17000 and in my third year I have paid 13495. The fees for my batchmates are same. There are no such financial aid available for students.

The no. Of subjects is wide that is skill enhancement cources , value addition courses , ability enhancement courses along with the core subjects

Change of subjects every 6 month does not provide in depth knowledge
The duration of the semester examination is way too long extending to a month and half

Fees and Financial Aid:

The college fee structure is around 14000-15000 for one year that is 2 semesters . It includes library access and tution fees .There are no scholarships available. Campus employment are available across the duration of courses which can be accessed by contacting the placement cell of the college. There are vacancies for role of accountant , content writers , human resources etc.

Exams were always conducted in off weird seasons like I use to sweat like hell during may and shiver in december ending while seating in classrooms to give my exam

Fees and Financial Aid:

Fees was from 11 to 15k. Placement cell offered internship from 5k per month to 25k. Job opportunity were at average package of 3-4 LPA. There was no financial assistance provided to anyone in my knows hence I'm not sure on that.

There is no regularity and strictness of rules. Attendance is not given a lot of priority, there is no proper discipline. Students take the curriculum very lightly.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees for my course is around 18500/year which makes it around 55000 for a 3 year degree, which is quite reasonable considering the fee structures of other universities. I did not apply for a scholarship but I know that there are reservations for EWS (economically weaker sections).
