Faculty

Faculty is really helpful, nice and friendly. The professors are qualified and provides good course based knowledge. The faculty to student ratio varies depending on the number of admission every year but on an average there are around 4 professors teaching 32 students. Honourable mention to Sashwata Mukherjee, our HOD, Reeta Das, Swarnali maam and Sandipan sir, they have provided us with so many opportunities and facilities and taught us with utmost dedication. Till this date they look out for us and gives us career based opportunities. There are 2 semesters every year and 1 exam per semester . Every Semester also has an internal exam , the marks of which are added in the final result.

Fees and Financial Aid

The College offers affordable courses and provides good facilities for the fees range. Students can be expected to pay around Rs.10,000-Rs.16,000 per semester which sums up to around Rs.20,000-Rs.32,000 every year. The college does not have hostel facilities. Lab fees and other facilities are included within the semester fees. The fees are expected to be paid in full before results of the semester are displayed. The admission fees is around Rs.2000 and an additional Rs.50 is needed for i-card. Examination fees are included within the semester fees. This fees criteria is for General Catagory. The college does not provide financial aids or scholarships,

Faculty

Most of the faculty members dont take classes but they all are very aproachable it is just that they will always keep you hanging for a while even for small works but at last they will definetely help you one way or the another. due to this you can use your precious time to see the campus as it is pretty big and you can also go to the library or the labs to continue learning things. Exams are not that tough, you will et the course syllabus afor all you semesters at the starting and even if you go through the syllabus mentioned thouroughly you will be able to get good marks in your exams the only part that is a bit annoying about the exams is that your end term exams are dont have any breaks in them that means if you have given some exam today you will be giving the next exam the very next day without any days for preparation I think.

Campus Life

Theris annual fest and then there is kisaan mela that take place 2 times a year these fests and fairs are pretty good and with them there is also many dance and singing performances. social aspect of the university is very good actually, every 2months or so there will be some prgramme or sports competition that you can alway participate. infrastructure of the universitiy is also top of the line, you get smart classrooms with digital notes provided to you by your faculty, fully air conditioned classrooms. Any book you need for your course, it is available in the library. the seating and environment of the library is also very good. It is weel maintained and fully air conditioned. There are also many social clubs and online student social groups that you can always join.

The college campus is very beautiful and 100% no ragging.Teachers are also very very friendly. But here's the point is you have to do self study don't depend on college teacher. Our lab assistants have very friendly behaviour to us . The instruments are all good working and high capacity central lab located in our Biotechnology department. Department have also there own program like freshers, farewell teacher's day . And I am from the 3 years batch so there the tution fees is high in odd same like 12k and even semesters are 1250 approximately.

Faculty

There are not so many faculties are present in our department but .Our departments all faculties are so good to us. But in case of having GE paper there some faculties are not so well behaviour to us. I don't know why they don't like us and some times they are rude to us. We have 6th semester because we belongs to 3rd year batch . In each year 2 semester occurs and 4 internal also .

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio could be a little bad since there are so many students, some teachers have to teach subjects they haven't studied before like INDIAN KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM. Best physch faculties are dipanjana, parvati and tithee ma'am but some very bad faculties are auditi and Rita ma'am. Rita ma'am is so biased and sometimes it looks like she has a crush on the toppers. She only teaches the students who are the best learner and that is very unfair. Seniors say that if you want to pass her class, you have to oil her up. The course curriculum is very relevant and the frequency of exams are perfect. Teachers ask students what dates we want the mid term exams we want on and that's very helpful. One thing that's very annoying is the attendance. They are SO strict about it. Proxies aren't a thing here and holidays are so less that sometimes it starts to feel a little suffocating.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is perfect. There are five subjects for psychology as needed and the other three are enriching subjects like buisness communication, ethics, moral development and subjects like Indian knowledge system which makes us understand the history, philosophy and other important things about the indian culture. It might sounds very unnecessary and it did to a lot of us previously but now it feels very enriching.

There are very few facaulty in my course that are professional , while most act like school teaches . We have enough facaulty so there is no burden but there is room for more . My favourite is Dr Indira rautela , Dr Pritesh Vyas and Dr Sonika Kalia , their teaching style is very good and they act very friendly yet professional. Othter teaches seems unapproachable . There is is mid sem and final sem . Even is not very difficult nor easy so there are few in class who fail , maximum of the class scores good grades

Placement Experience

Students become eligible after 2nd year for placement . There are many companies visiting like Infosys but that is not in our domain , companies from our domain is rare . Also the salary is around 40000 per month in Bengaluru which is very difficult to survive . There are very few students interested in placement as maximum of us wants to go for higher studies .

Fees and Financial Aid

1.5 was fees for one year. So 4.5 total fees. Plus 20k security. Plus admission fees. Id card fees. Hostel fees. They don't return the security deposit. At max they 18K out of 20K in lucky cases. Other than that, there's lots of extra fees here and there. You have to pay to enter the college if you forget the id card. 500 per entry.

Faculty

The faculty is very well educated. Highly qualified teachers are present. Teachers like Dr Rajiv Sharma and Dr Archana Tiwari made college very easy with guidance and teaching methods. However one problematic teacher was there- Dr Amit Kaushik. He is a genetics teacher. He was highly inappropriate with girl students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Uhmm like they complete their syllabus on time. They have given a specific amount of classes to complete the course but if all the classes are completed and syllabus is not done than they take extra classes that too in the morning which is very bad.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for the 1st sem was 85000 and there was a 20000 security deposit. For the 2 semester of each year the fees stays the same. At the start of every new academic year there is a 9000 rupees increase in the tuition fees.

Ques. I scored less then 50% in 12th boards can I get into private bsc biotechnology college

● Top Answer By Sanjana Kapoor on 14 Dec 23

Ans. The minimum eligibility requirement for BSc. Biotech at an Indian college is having passed 10th and 12th with Physics, Biology/Maths and Chemistry as core subjects, and at least 50% overall (45% for SC, ST) and 60% in each of the core subjects in the 12th boards. Both PCM and PCB candidates can opt for BSc. Biotech. Given that the eligibility criteria demands at least 50% in the 12th boards, it might not be possible for you to seek admission into BSc. Biotechnology at an Indian college. But I would advise you to go through the eligibility criteria of some of the private colleges by visiting their official website. Read more
