Central Institute of Technology CIT Kokrajhar, Assam, is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act., 1860, is a Deemed to be University , established on the 19th December 2006 by an MoS on Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) signed between the Assam Government, the Union Government and the Bodo Liberation Tigers, on February 10, 2003, in New Delhi; located in Kokrajhar region of Assam. The eligibility of the courses are Btech Mtech Bdes. You can find application forms in cit website cit.ac.in ST SC will get benefits of reservation. The frequency and timing of exams is 3 hours and difficulty is medium. You can take admission in cit campus in admission cell or cit.ac.in

- The lab facilities of CIT is the number of things I liked most in our computer science department we have total 5 lab and overall facilities are Quite high

- Sometimes the connectivity is not good as you expected

You can come cit after you completed 10 and take a part of your diploma courses But most of our students take part in btech module you can take part in btech after jee marks basis and they took a seperate entrance
Likes
- Competent faculty. I never expected professors to be this passionate about their fields here. Everyone takes their work really seriously. I don't think I can remember the last time they have cancelled any class in a working day.
- Labs are well equiped, at least have been till now. Never felt there was a shortage of any machine.
Dislikes
- Frequent power cuts is one of the worst aspects here. There's tremendous scope of improvement although and it's being done at lightning speed.
- Placements: Despite being a CFTI, placements haven't been up to the mark and don't do justice to its tag.
Admission:
You should have scored >50% in your 10+2 exams to be eligible for a BTech degree here. Application forms come out every year just after board exams so be prepared for the counseling process and keep checking cit.ac.in regularly for necessary information. All reservation schemes expected from a CFTI are available. As a CFTI, it should take BTech undergraduates only under JEE Main to ensure the quality of students don't get diluted.

Our colleges admission is very simple just you have to passed entrance exam and take an admission. If you have take in science in HS then you can take admission in B. Tech other wise you can also take in Diploma. Cut off mark may be change year by year.

First you need to give entrance name CITKEE cit.ac.in website is the college official website you can visit for application forms and dates. SC and ST reservations are get benefits in addmission and counseling. I should get atleast cutoff mark so you can get addmission

- The infrastructure of the college is also charming. It cover a huge area of 300 acres. There are seperate hostels for girls and boys present inside and outside the college campus. The college has a gym, 2 canteens, a big auditorium and a park.
- It also has a basketball court, respective rooms for different clubs, well organised labs, badminton courts, a football ground, a tennis court, a huge library which occupies 2 floors and air-conditioned gallaries. The hostel timing is quite strict.
Dislikes
- The canteen food isn't that good but its edible including mess food of the few hostels.
Admission:
The eligibility for admission in the college is 12th pass with 60% aggressive marks in PCM for B Tech degree and 10th pass for Diploma. The college provides all the degrees including B. Tech, M. Tech, Diploma and PHD. The college conducts a competitive examination and students qualifying the examination can get admitted to the college easily. The college also provide addmission through JEE marks.

Admission to B.Des course is done based on CITBDAT exam followed by counselling and you must have passed 12th with 50% or more to be eligible for admission to CIT Kokrajhar.
If you did not qualify the cut-off, then you won’t be eligible for admission to B.Des.
