Admission Criteria

Age Limit

Direct Entry: Candidates must not be above 21 years, or below 17 years of age as on 01- 08-2018. The upper age limit is relaxed to 3 years for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe candidates.

Vertical Entry: 40 years (45 years for SC/ST/PWD and 43 years for OBC and female candidates) as on 01-08-2018.

Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Des Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Direct Entry: 10+2 (Science/Arts/Commerce) with 45% marks in the aggregate for GEN/OBC candidates (relaxed up to 5% for ST/SC/PWD candidates).
Vertical Entry: Diploma in Animation and Multimedia from CIT with 65% marks for GE/OBC (relaxed up to 5% for SC/ST/PWD)

Entrance Exam:

The candidate has to clear the CITBDAT entrance examination followed by counseling at CIT, Kokrajhar. The second way is by applying and appearing in UCEED conducted by IIT BOMBAY.

Likes

I like the department which is cool for me. The seniors from others departments is so rude in our department they are brothers
Campus is nice with great view playgrounds and gardens students mostly come to garden for making there projects and i like the post of the part there

Dislikes

About the canteen facilities don’t give the food with proper time
Hostel toilets and Mess are unpredictable water supply delay and lack of electricity in day Hour

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fees is basically 9500 and on Admission they took 18000 ST for me and there is no specific regulations complete cost for 1Y is around 50k for me Ya they give scholarships for hostellers they give around 45k + and for dayscollars 30k something yes we got intership from college yes we got job roles yes we got stipends awarded also

Likes

The campus is very peaceful with trees and flowers, beautiful sunrise and sunset
The faculty are helpful ,The practical classes are fun

Dislikes

Buses are needed to be elevated as it can't intake lot of students
There is not Convinient store for daily needs or medical store inside campus

Fees and Financial Aid:

The Tuition fee is very reasonable as its a Central Government funded University.The tuition fee is around 9500 and if you opt for hostel then the hostel fee is 5500 and the mess fee is around 6000 as of 2024 with all veg menu but non veg items are sold at the mess and we can purchase it also the cost of the non veg items are Rs-30 for meats and Rs-12 egg omelette. The college also provide Scholarship with different categories like State Scholarships for St,Sc and Obc Student and Central level Scholarship like Ishan Udhay also Scholarship for Minorities.

Likes

I liked the campus which is really scenic filled with greenery everywhere.
The faculties are pretty good and highly qualified. I like the way they teach to students in class.

Dislikes

No campus placement for both engineering and designing students.
The mess food is extremely bad which needs to be improved.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The college tution fee is very less as because it's a central government college. The fee is very moderate and can be affordable to every students in comparison to the fees of other design schools or colleges.
