Course Curriculum Overview :

Design is a field of creative ideas and thinking which influence me to go out of box and push my limit and do something different. The curriculum prepares me to use the creative part of my brain and creating solutions for real world problem through design.More improvement could be made in courses by integrating latest trends in field of design like Ar and Vr related. The exam for the courses are in two sections Theory and Practical. The Theory are pretty easy to moderate if u have attended the lecture and have idea about the subjects but the practical could be little difficult but with time there is improvement.

Campus Life :

The University has two Major Fest Techcracy and Ecstasy.Techcracy is technical fest and Ecstasy is mostly conduct sports and cultural events. The Design department has their own Design Fest called Anuva where various workshop takes place, competition along with Open mic event. The classroom are decent with Air conditioner facility with electricity back up but the labs are needed to be upgraded. There is basketball court, football and Cricket field. The campus looks beautiful at night also its greenary is peaceful There are also various clubs that you can join.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel room accommodate three person at each room with attached balcony. The mess menu are total vegetarian but you can buy and eat non veg for just 30rs and 12rs. For hostel registration you get a form at the time of admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum could be updated. I think the first year courses are very basic and easy for design. They upgrade it a bit. The btech subjects that we had were very irrelevant. I don't think we will be using it in design in future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fine for B.des, but to be honest CITK is an engineering college so, for design students the environment is not that top notch over here. But in overall it's all good especially the faculties here are the best even in comparison to the other departments of our college.

Placement Experience:

Although the placement percentage is not 100% but the opportunities provided by the institute are very good. In the field of BDes, some of the top companies of the industry participated during the placements. In general, the highest CTC went to Rs. 1.5 CPA. Companies that visited for the placements were Microsoft, Google, Qualcomm, Oracle, American Express, Walmart, Adobe, Razorpay and Groww.

Remarks:

The environment is great. It's so pleasant and green. It's amazing to be a student here. The students are very friendly and kind. There is a vast variety of flora and fauna available. The only downside is that being away from main city, we don't get much attention.

Remarks:

For the most part it is definitely worth it to join IITG. From good placement records to being the most beautiful campus in India there's something for everyone here. Accessibility sometimes cause issue but other than that, it holds up the hype it got.

Entrance Preview:

JEE, AIR 4742 Chose branch, not college. For my rank, Design seemed to be a perfectly fitting branch for me, hence I chose to go for it over BITS CSE.

Admission:

After I filled my choices and once my seat was locked, I got a confirmation letter (Offer Letter) from IIT Guwahati, inviting me to attend the institute. On reaching here, a procedure was followed, where all the official documents were verified, and an orientation was carried, which gave a glimpse of the life here at IITG.

Remarks:

Our campus is bound to grow more as a new boys hostel is being built, and expansion of various departments is taking place. And there are a few very tall buildings built for reasons I don't know, maybe for phD scholars.
