The faculty of our college is good; they provide all information to improve not only the theoretical but also practical activities.
We become eligible for the internship after completing three years of our program, and we have to register all our details such as name, domain, and area of interest with the placement committee so that we can have a good opportunity for an internship.

Dislikes

Government Scholarship is available for students who are not financially strong, and the fee structure is quite affordable, such as 67000/semester for general students whose family income is above 5 lacs/year.
We dont have our permanent campus, and the temperature is also very low, even in the summer season.

Remarks:

The Placements are very good. So Many students get placed at very high package. The college focuses on the overall development of the students,so that they can fulfill every requirement of the companies. Faculties are also very much cooperative with the students, they make students understand the concepts and ideas very easily. Students of our college are very creative that they continuously participates in other curriculum activities that usually happens in our college. The most fortunating thing of our college is the environment of the surrounding as our college is in Himalayan Range near to Kanchenjanga so the atmosphere is cold and pleasant over there. People donot get sick easily by any disease there.

No. Not any bad remark for college or its management. Just the transportation may be uncomfortable as Sikkim is a hilly area.

If you're getting NIT SIKKIM, it's probably because you're no good to be in better NIT and have the last option but to stay here.so at my counselling it was the college I got through my obc rank which was around 28k

It is a deemed university.The National Institute of Technology Sikkim is a public engineering and research institution near the city of Ravangla in Sikkim, India,It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India and has been declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. I have Choosen NIT SIKKIM because of wrong counseling. But Now I am enjoying the cold weather of Sikkim. Placements Statistics of my college is very high, if we compare with NITS. I have opted Electronics and Communication Engineering because, I have very much interest in electronic devices, when I was in class 12, I was always thinking , how this mobile phone is made , How this hard drive made . How we can improve.

Needs infrastructure

Placement Experience:

I will answer it in branch wise scenario: 1. CSE: institute treats them like how every son in law is treated in indian family. Usually gets placed. Most companies come for them. 2. ECE: Jon snow in stark family (if you have watched GOT then you will get this). Only hope is uncle benjin(intel) who takes him to night's watch(job) 3. EEE: only one word: POWERGRID 4. civil and mechanical: placements for them is like finding oasis in desert. You get it only when you are lucky.

First negative point is that our institute does not have permanent campus. And second faculty and infrastructure is not that good. Lot of rains also in time of monsoon season. Our campus connectivity is also very bad, no nearby railway station or any airport
