Hostel Facilities:
The hostel facility is fine, we get four or three seater hotel in first year, and the study room and sleeping room are seperate. Here we don't get wifi, we get LAN, through which we can connect our laptop through LAN cable. In second year, we get two seater rooms, we get room size on the basis of CGPA. Meal quality is fine, atleast 3-4 days in a week, the meal we get is special meal. Registration process is easy, we need to only pay through college website

THE HOSTEL WAS GREAT. FOR PG STUDENTS IN THE VERY FIRST YEAR WE HAVE A LIKE 1 BHK THINK WHERE 5 STUDENTS LIVE. IN SECOND YEAR WE HAVE SINGLE ACCOMODATION FOR PG STUDENTS. THE MESS FOOD IS GREAT FOLLOWING PROPER SATWIK FOOD.

In each room, there is a single table and a chair is provided, a lamp bulb is provided and a tea table is provided. Meal quality is very good, Amul ghee and Fortune Oils are used here. -> Hostel fee is 12k per semester which is affordable by anyone. and Hostel facilities are very good. -> The registration process is very easy only a form is needed to be submitted along with the payment receipt.

So , i have a room with four sharing . We get four beds , 4 almirahs , 4 study table , 4 lan ports and a balcony . The room is very spacious and believe me you are going to enjoy a lot with your friends . And a weeper comes once in a 3 days to clean the room

first year hostel is swami vivekanand boys hostel . rooms are very spacious . with attached study room and balcony . first year have 4 sharing rooms. large cupboards are there in room . two ceiling fans , three tublights . 1 fan and 2 tubelight in study room also . study table and chair have been provided in the room . high speed LAN connection in the room. mess food is good . we get different varities . we get only veg in mess . non veg is not allowed in mess. 1 sweet dish daily .

Hostel Facility is very good. We have elevators inside the hostels.There are two mess inside it.The mess meal is very delicious and it has exceeded my expectation. We get snacks in the evening. How are the hostel rooms at mnnit?
MNNIT hostel rooms are in good condition. Three students share a room. Each hostel room has a bedroom, a study room, and a balcony. Students are provided with beds, chairs, study tables, cupboards, and study lamps. The hostel has wifi facilities.
The washrooms are common. Every floor has washrooms, at each corner. There are aqua guards and geysers on each floor as well. The hostels have common rooms. There are computer rooms with internet connection as well.

After the admission of students in M.Tech at MNNIT Allahabad, the institute allows Raman Hostel for the first-year students, which is situated near Optron Chowk, 600m away from Patel gate of the institute. The points below give a brief overview of the hostel and the facilities provided by the institute in it.
- The Raman Hostel has 3 floors and 100 rooms in total. There are 2 washrooms on each floor, situated diagonally opposite to each other.
- The students in M.Tech and Ph.D. get access to a TV hall and a reading room. The TV hall is situated on the 2nd floor and the reading room is situated on the 1st floor.
- They have two badminton courts, one on each side. But, on most days, there are cycles parked on the courts. A small park is also made as a common entity for the students of both Raman and Tagore hostels.
- Tagore hostel has a canteen in the outer part of the hostel, which is available to all. In the Raman hostel, there is a small shop to carry on with basic needs like pen, copy, groceries, cold drinks, files, mobile recharge, etc.
- There is 24-hour access to the hostel for students. But, students need to sign a register if they have to go out after 12 AM midnight.
- The rooms in Raman hostel are good enough for 3 students each, but 4 students are accommodated in every room in the first year. There are 4 beds, a table, and a chair for students in each room. Other than that, each room has two fans and two light sockets, and 3 sets of LAN ports and wardrobes.
- In the second semester, few students leave the institute for a job or other purposes. So, three students are allotted to each room from then.
- Each washroom in Raman hostel has 5 bathrooms and 6 latrines of both kinds. There are 4 front wash basins too. No washing machine is provided in the hostel.
- Coming to the second year of M.Tech, students are allotted a PG hostel which is near the Computer Science department. It has 2-seater rooms, but the rooms are slightly more congested than those in Raman Hostel.
This is the overall condition and facilities provided to M.Tech students in MNNIT Allahabad, which is quite decent with required facilities for students inside the campus.

MNNIT hostels for girls are two-seater. Although the rooms aren’t very spacious, after a while you will get used to them. The washrooms are hygienic and cleaned regularly.
The mess food isn’t too bad. They offer 4 meals - breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner.
There is no wifi, but each room has LAN connection. Usually, there is one LAN port, so you will have to share it with your roommate.
The hostels are safe. There are security guards present at all times. The in-time for first-year girls is 8:30 pm while for second year onwards, the in-time is 9:30 pm. Extensions are given during fests.
Other than the inconvenience of a few lizards and insects, the hostel facilities are pretty good.

One of my friends was a former student of this institute. He once told me that everyone always considers the window users at the hostel; thereby, he prioritized the Linux users not to face any internet-related issues.
- My friend considers the conditions related to the proxy net, which is not the regular one. He mentioned that utilizing proxy settings basically changes the internet settings of “Fast Internet”.
- The most important thing is that the college can monitor internet surfing; besides, they also limit your Internet usage.
- However, DC++ settings were very ancient, and it was there approximately 3-4 years back. But as everything is now streamed online, thereby usage of DC has been drastically reduced.
- It can be mentioned that there are approximately 8-10 proxy settings by which you can surf the internet. But the problem is that only one has no limits; however, it is not allowed in the hostel and the surrounding areas.
- The Internet becomes slow during the evening time, that is from 7 pm to midnight. This institute provides a Squid proxy setting to its students, which is basically a visit more and gets easier. , if you visit one particular website daily, this setting will automatically allow you to visit the site, even at a low internet speed.
However, my friend was a gamer; he was not so interested in doing Facebook and YouTube. Thereby, he finds the following solutions:

- It is better to use the internet at Night.
- If you utilize college internet effectively, then it is important to know the basics of Putty. You can use other IP addresses on their computers or laptop.

Here are some details about SVBH (freshers’ hostel)-
- The rooms are three-seater and spacious enough for three people.
- Each student gets a bed, a study table, a chair and an almirah (with ample space).
- The seven-storeyed hostel building contains four water coolers on every floor.
- There are two common rooms with a television in each. We watch movies and enjoy cricket matches over there.
- The hostel also has its own shop for stationary and other basic necessities.
- Alongside the TV rooms is a paid canteen from where you can buy snacks even during late night.
- The wifi routers are 8 on each floor, 4 in each wing. One can access sufficient range and speed with some vpn and proxy settings.
- The rooms are cleaned regularly, and they are always in a hygienic condition.
- The hostel premises have sufficient space for late night walks.
- The washrooms are hygienic, but there’s always a rush outside them in the morning.
- The mess serves a variety of meals, but the food is very average in taste.
- All the messes on campus serve strictly vegetarian meals.
