Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai ranks among the top 50 universities in India every year by the NIRF ranking report. The 2023 Placements are ongoing and more than 300 companies have visited the campus offering 2,823 placement offers. Maintaining its previous record, more than 90% of the Sathyabama University students received an offer during the placements. The highest package offered during the placements stood at INR 53 LPA while the average package was INR 5 LPA. 14 students received an offer of more than 27 LPA while 120 students received a package over INR 10 LPA. - Things I like most in the college is the college provide free transport for all the students across chennai so it won't be a hastle for any student to reach college if he is staying anywhere outside also that's the one thing I like most
- Another thing I like most about the college they provide free lunch for all the students whether they are hostel or not they provide lunch for each and every person for free thats the one thing I like most about the list
Placement Experience:
From the 6th semester onwards students are eligible to take placements. Presently we are undergoing a recruitment process. So I can't give the exact number of companies that are visiting. Presently I can't tell much about the placement as presently we are undergoing the drive. So I don't have complete knowledge of talking placements.
Likes
- The first thing is placement , Sathyabama provides good placements as the average of 300000 LPA and it goes to 70 LPA
- The food ! This collage provides quality food in free of cost for all 6 days in a week which is good for hostelers as well as dat scholar students . Both VEG and NON-VEG will be provided
Dislikes
- the class room , they are good but the is no AC in classes only computer science students are provided with AC
- Hostel students are not allowed to go outside after collage only on the weekend permission is granted (same for boys and girls)
Placement Experience:
pacements are better than students think but also depends upon student intrest and skills , the average of 3LPA will give provided and mostly cse and IT students get placed . college will also provide internships for students from 3rd year and placement classes will be taken for students to crack the placements . workshop will be conducted for every department students , no charges will taken . college also has 30+ clubs and NCC .

- They provided every one a individual system to specialization students
- The college conduct better and useful programs to students to improve the skills of students

- The staff are not that much thorough with specialized subjects
- Not providing more internship opportunities to students

The college provide better placements to students since past few years and the avg package is 8 lakhs per annum. The multi national company's like TCS, Infosys, cognizant, Capgemini ,HCl etc... are visited to campust to hire the students to there companies , 90% of students are placed avg in every year

- The infrastructure of the new block which are built recently are amazing
- The students of this college comes from various states

- The management of this college doesn't conduct sports
- Infrastructure in some blocks which are old ones needs to be improved

At 7th semester students will start getting placements , in this students got nearly 2400 placement opportunities they selected 2400 students in placement and highest package is 50LPA ,85 percentage students will get placement and some students will go for higher students

- The over discipline will be maintained by the staff
- The fixed timings should be followed by the campus.

From 6th semester the student will be eligible for the placement.Every year so many companies visit the campus and the offers will be made around 2500.The highest package of the college figure is around 50LPA and the average package figure is 5LPA.85-90% of the students will be placed.I am going for the placement

Generally in our college placements starts after 6th semester. But internship opportunities starts from 2nd year itself. but there is decrease in the campus placements not only in my college but in entire colleges in india. But in my college placements are not bad I can say it is okokish

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

- 1st I like us out college ambience, culture and classrooms
- And the food in sathyabama is very tasty with veg and non veg facilities

- The college is in Chennai so there will be some language problem.

From 3rd sem the placement training will start and we can have college 9-5pm Companies like Capgemini,EPAM,TCS,HCL,Dev Rev,Terra Logic, Delloite And the highest package is 50LPA And the average package 5LPA Percentage of students:85% this semester I got placed in a company with 6LPA And the placement training will have aptitude,English,coding and the grooming sessions And every day we will be happy the examination which help us to improve our skill

- The department of computer science engineering and other B.E and B.Tech cources has the best teaching facilities
- Student friendly staffs, will be reliable everyime

- Food quality is very bad, doesn't meet up with the expectations
- The quality of the hostel does not match up with the price of the hostel fees

The placements tests are conducted in 3rd year that is 5th semester. Many MNCs like Amazon, Infosys, etc visited the college for the placements The average of the lowest package is 3LPA and the highest is 30LPA

- The vast library is the first thing that attracted me in the campus
- we have a large open area covered with trees making it look serene
Dislikes
- we are not allowed to roam around inspite of having a huge campus to explore
- library has restrictions in timings as in we cannot visit library during class hours

How good is placement at Sathyabama University?
Mainly IT companies visit the Sathyabama University campus for recruitments. On the other hand, very few core companies visit the campus for branches like Mechanical, Civil, Aero, Auto and Pro. Even the ones that do visit, mostly end up not recruiting any students.
The CS and IT department receives top companies like Oracle and HP. But the eligibility criteria of such companies is very high. Mass recruiters like Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro also visit the campus, and are quite easy to crack. Unfortunately, the university does not see any dream companies or high paying companies during placements.
