- Faculties are very experienced, and talking about infrastructure so it's built on around 360 acres land and is very beautiful.
- Sports culture is very good on campus along with two fests.
Dislikes
- The biology in the second semester is horrible to study and remember
- I really disliked that it is really difficult to get to campus as transport is very difficult.

- There are no seats reserved for anyone that ensures that you are surrounded by people who have made it there only based on merit.
- The competition level even after entering the campus is rigorous and keeps you on your toes to study continuously and perform well in your exams
Dislikes
- The grading system is a bit stricter when compared to other colleges making it hard to score a good grade with the same amount of hard work you will put in somewhere else.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are extremely good with CS placements always having an edge above others. Currently around 20lpa is the average package considering all the branches and campuses. Highest package goes till around 65-70 lpa.
Likes
- The peer group here is incredible. Bits also has something called practice schools. They provide real time experience of work life after 2-2(2nd year second sem).
- The coding culture in bits goa is the best. Pre COVID our campus has around 20 to 21 GSoC selections. This year we have 10 of them.
Dislikes
- The grading is too difficult. The relative grading here is a little bit wierd. The sole power of grading lies in the hands of IC(instructor in charge). If he doesn't feel like it he can reduce the average grade.
- Its hard to compete with peers as they are on the same level as you thanks to the no reservation policy in bits.
Placement Experience:
The campus placements is pretty decent. You get ps1 and PS2 for internships and experience. You also get SIPs that is summer internship programme where the company hires interns. The chances of getting pre placement offer is high in sips. The average package is around 17 to 18 lakhs for the whole batch. Non core placements is also done by students apart from core and making start ups

- The placements increase is appreciable , like in the time of recession also it's quite good .
- The campus is filled with green trees and lush bushes

- The weather in this place is extreme which irritates you .
Course Curriculum Overview:
Electronics and Communication Engineering has booked through the years and I believe it's one of the core branches where manpower never gets saturated. I got an opportunity to do this degree at this prestigious university so why would I leave this for some other college or branch . We have quizzes, mid-semester, assignments, and comprehensive examinations throughout the semester.
Likes
- It has 0 attendance policy which offered a lot of flexibility for the students.
- The campus life was really exciting as there were a lot of clubs and departments which any student could join. The college offered ample opportunities for the students to focus on aspects of their career other than studies.
Placement Experience:
The students are eligible for placements from the 7th semester. The highest domestic package recieved as per my rememberance was 90 LPA and overall highest package recieved was 1.4 CrPA. The average package at BITS is 14 LPA. Almost 100 percent students were placed in the year 2022.

- Infrastructure of pretty humongous and decent
- Expericend faculties are available and ready to help
Dislikes
- No attendance policy is not completely true and undeserving students get high marks
- AC were to be installed but are not being installed in this hot climate

Placements of our college is at par compared to other colleges. The average goes about 17 to 18 lakes per annum. This obviously varies from branch to branch. The percentage of students getting placed is above 80

- There is no reservation policy. So only talented students get admission
- One of the best infrastructure in the whole country

- It is very difficult to survive in the scorching heat in the summer season
- The food outlets are not good here. The food quality is not good
Course Curriculum Overview:
I am studying Electrical and electronics engineering here and I chose this branch as it has a lot of scope in future. It is a booming field nowadays which would offer a lot of jobs in future. The curriculum is very much aligned with the industry
Placement Experience:
All the students are allowed to appear for the placements. The median package here is 19 lakh per annum and the highest is around 70 lakh per annum. More than 90% of the students get placed. I wanted to pursue masters in an Ivy League school after getting my degree.
Likes
- Highly experienced staff and method of teaching
- Good infrastructure and quality food and service
Dislikes
- Does not have a good connectivity with city
- There is no air conditioner in hostels as it gets hard in summer

The placements in our campus are very good and on average around 80-90 percentage students get placed the students will be eligible for placement after their third year and companies that visit are Qualcomm Intel Google Microsoft the highest package offered upto date is 60 lpa and the average package is round 20 lpa the companies on average take around 3-4 students each

- Campus facilities are so good.And the infrastructure is very nice
- Hostel rooms are well designed and professors are well educated

- The food is not as expected as good and Some grounds are not well designed
- The fee is too high and it’s not worthy as well
Placement Experience:
After the 4th year 1 sem, A student can be eligible to attend placements. And companies like Google, Microsoft, amazon, etc. So many good companies will visit and the offers they will provide are so good. The highest package is around 1.23 crore and the average package is around 25 lakhs. Around 93% of people got placed. My plan is to work in a good company after getting a degree.

- Good campus architecture and well maintained classroom library and auditorium and students are set free to play any games in the campus
- Well and highly educated friendly staff interacts well with the students and help them in academics by clearing all the doubts they have
Dislikes
- The campus is far away from the city and transportation is not that good only 5 buses go from campus to city every day
- There are no air conditioners in the hostels so that makes the hostel rooms hot especially in the summer season
Placement Experience:
from fourth year 1st semester students will be eligible for campus placements the companies which visit every year are google microsoft qualcomm infosys etc and each company takes around 3-4 students every year the highest package offered upto date is 60 lpa and the average package is around 15-18 lpa the percentage of students getting placements is very high its around 80-90 percent and if we dont get a campus placements my idea is to try a job through alumini network because bits has good and active alumini network

Is BITS Pilani "Pilani campus" better than IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati?
In my opinion, both BITS Pilani and IIT Roorkee are in the same league while IIT Guwahati is a bit inferior to them. Let’s discuss further on the basis of some very common aspects
- Core subjects: BITS Pilani does not focus on core subjects and the research culture is also very inactive. This is because of the extremely laid-back curriculum and attendance policy. The research opportunities offered are very less in comparison to IITs
- Placements: In this aspect, BITS Pilani definitely fairs better with its flagship Practice School program. Students of this program receive many PPOs from top companies during internships arranged by the college itself.
- Campus life: IMHO BITS offers the best campus life owing to the student-driven culture and great academic flexibility.
- Performance: The institutes can be evaluated on the basis of the performance of their students in various entrance exams. IIT Roorkee students score the best in GATE, UPSC, etc. while BITS Pilani scores well in CAT, GMAT, and GRE.
- Peer groups: The average student quality of both the institutes is somewhat similar with IIT Roorkee giving a slight edge to BITS Pilani in this aspect.
Both the colleges have their own strengths and weaknesses and comparing them is illogical. I would say that if you are genuinely interested in CSE, then Pilani will be better for you than Roorkee. But if you aren’t certain of your area of interest then choose IIT Roorkee for its IIT tag.
