Remarks :
I think the admission process is too long consisting of 7 iterations , very much time consuming. I think the number iterations should be reduced. We need to write BITSAT to get into bits. It will be conducted 2times an year.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum here is really flexible. We can choose our courses, we can choose our professors and set a time table on our own. We can take projects instead of electives too. The exams are not so easy and not very tough too.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are provided two times. On in the summer of 2nd year and another in the 4th year. Every student gets an internship, we can also opt for thesis instead. We also get good stipends for the internships.
Placement Experience :
All the students are allowed to appear for the placements. The median package here is 19 lakh per annum and the highest is around 70 lakh per annum. More than 90% of the students get placed. I wanted to pursue masters in an Ivy League school after getting my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It nearly costs 7lakh per annum with hostel fee . But we have merit scholarship and merit cum need scholarships. We can also get a student loan. We can work as a teaching assistant but there is much competition for that.
Campus Life :
We have a wide range of clubs. Tech clubs, cultural clubs, TedX, Regional Associations and what not. We have 3 big fests in an year namely PEARL ,ATMOS,ARENA . We have many sports here and a gym too...
Hostel Facilities :
Everyone must stay in campus hostel only. It cost's around 40000 per semester. We have a fan , a bed, a table, a white board and a cupboard in the room . We have common washrooms in the floor. The food doesn't taste very good but it's nutritious .
Faculty :
The faculty here are highly qualified and everyone of them holds a phd from a tier 1 college. They are very friendly and helpful. They will be available anytime during college hours to go and talk or clear our doubts.
