The placement status at KIIT is not that great but it's good as there are many students facing difficulty in placement in 2023-24 ( but it was very high in the year 2021-22). Nearly 50%-70% students get placed each year though it was below 50% for the year 2023. And if the student doesn't get placed anywhere, he/she can pursue for their masters, KIIT also provides master degrees. The highest package for a B. Tech student is 52LPA and the average is 6LPA and the lowest being 3LPA. Few students get their campus placement by the end of their 3rd year only.

Placements as discussed earlier were great for our Alumni but post COVID things have changed and it's a shame that even IITs cannot offer 100% placements. Big companies also come such as Google , Goldmann Sacchs, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, etc. also mentioning Atlassian with the highest placement package of 62lpa.

The placements of my college is good as many companies visit the campus every year and recruit the students according to their need. Almost 100 percent placement is there and good packages are offered by the college. The highest package of this college is 2.7 crores pa and the average package is 8.5 lacs pa. This college also provides internship opportunities. Very renowned companies visit here like Amazon, Microsoft, windows etc every year. The students are eligible for campus placements after completion of the 5th semester. The average eligibilty criteria for a student for campus placements in some of the well renowned companies is that they have to maintain their total cgpa above 7.5 which is not that tough job for any student.
KIIT is the best choice in terms of placement & ROI for a degree program.

During Day 2, TechM and Capgemini offer between 2.75 to 3 LPA. However, Think & Learn and other marketing companies pay a good amount to freshers. Thus, these are the placement trends at KIIT for both IT and non-IT roles.
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology(KIIT) is one of the best colleges in the northeastern part of the country. It claims to have a record of more than 90% placement. According to NIRF engineering ranking 2020, KIITS managed to secure 44th rank, Srm stands at 32nd position, Amity Noida secured 32nd position, all of them secure good rank nationally.
The placement depends on the type, ranking, students, and a lot more. All the colleges listed above have a good record of placement. Some have the highest number of students placed in CSE, the some in ECE. It purely depends on the choice of the student of what he/she chooses.
There are two aspects to your placements, whether you are concerned just about the immediate packages or if you are concerned about the long-term career prospects.
As far as only the packages are concerned, CGPA matters only in some of Companies. To stay on the safe side, try scoring between 6.5–7.0. The reason CGPA is considered for shortlisting is because of the huge batch size. Usually, students scoring less than 8.5 don’t clear these interviews. Apart from CGPA, you will have to convince the recruiter that you are a suitable candidate for the job through your communication skills and knowledge.
For your career prospects, CGPA alone is never enough. For some the placement drives are excellent opportunities while for some they are horror. However, when your career is concerned placements are not the only thing that can help you. So it’s better to not get overwhelmed. I know someone who failed to get placed in KIIT and ended up with the highest package in off-campus placements. If you want a bright career, try focusing on your passion rather than placements. Do something you absolutely love and success will find you one day.
Placements at KIIT have always been great and like every year, this year too it witnessed placement offers by some of the best companies.
Around 400 prestigious companies offered 5000+ job offers for a batch size of 3500 eligible B.Tech students of 2022 batch KIIT. It seems the institute is again set to achieve 100% placements. Here are a few highlights from KIIT Placements 2022
The ‘Day Zero’ dream campus drives at KIIT witnessed the placement of top 1500 students by MNCs wherein the average CTC stood at 8.10 LPA. Around 42 Companies offered CTC of Rs. 10.00 lakh or more and Yugabyte offered the highest CTC of Rs.52.00 LPA.
While ‘Day-One’ campus recruitment drive witnessed 2000 job offers from four companies namely, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, and Wipro. Additionally, many companies visited the KIIT campus more than one time like Accenture, Ericsson, Escorts, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, etc.
If you are enquiring In terms of placements then obviously CS is the best BTech branch not only in KIIT Bhubaneswar but in every engineering college.
Out of the total recruiters, the majority seek only CS students so their placement opportunities are clearly better than students of other branches. This is exactly why many students of core branches learn coding to apply for CA companies.
Other branches that are good options include ETC Mech automobile, IT, etc. However, ETC has tough core subjects like AEC and SD in the second year that might affect your CGPA.
My personal opinion would be to give maximum preference to CS. For this, you need to study hard and work on your coding skills and you will get a job that will help you replay the money you have spent.
Generally, with the right mindset and hard work, every branch has its own benefits and it’s a matter of personal preferences.
KIIT has released its official placement data for its 2023 B.Tech placements.
It achieved more than 90% placements in total. Around 3000 students received placement offers from the campus, out of which, 2650 received single offers and 1200 received multiple offers. Around 450 top companies visited the campus with more than 5200 offers.
1100 students were placed in dream companies at an average package of more than 8.50 LPA. The highest CTC of 63 LPA was offered by YugaByte Software (P) Ltd. Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM, Bain & Company, CME Group, DE Shaw & Co, JP Morgan Chase, etc. are some of the names that participated in the placements.
You can check the official university website for more insights on their placements.
