Likes

The Lab facilities in the department are really good, and it gives a chance to all the students to get hands on experience.
The Professors here at KSBT are highly qualified and are approachable too.

Dislikes

If you are looking for a corporate job or industry job after your degree completion, then do not expect a high paying job right away. As a fresher you cannot expect a high CTC.
The management here pushes you for a career in research rather than in industry. Which is good for research oriented students but proves to be a challenge for those looking for industry exposure.

Admission:

I applied to Amity University and Adamas University and got a confirmed admission from both. But I had my sights set on KIIT. The reason for this is mostly because of the integrated nature of the course. And also because through word of mouth we had learnt that KIIT has good placements. The admission process here is fairly simple, there is an Exam , KIITEE. Once you've appeared for the examination you are eligible for the admission process.

Likes

The faculty is well fit for their designated subjects.
The environment is very good. Not only towards jobs, they also support entrepreneurship. They take care of growth in all domains.

Dislikes

The campus is bit away from the main campus, which keeps us quite cut off from the events taking place.
The campus is near a dumping yard, due to which bad smell comes sometime.

Admission:

I applied to many colleges in DU and others through CUET. I had applied for ICAR as well. The Counselling process was taking too long. I had more than enough marks for almost all the applied colleges. But due to some personal reasons, I had to stay in my state. So I chose this college. And for another college, I had made some major blunders and delays during the counseling process that led to me taking admission in ksbt. KIIT University has an Overall NIRF ranking of 15. along with studies, there are many opportunities for different co-curricular activities. Students from different nationalities get to interact. The admission is based on the merit of the KIITEE (KIIT entrance exam) . Admission through NEET/JEE exam marks is also done. Students of both maths and bio backgrounds are eligible. They should have atleast 60% in 10+2 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Maths / Biology or biotechnology taken altogether.

Unveiling KIIT: A student's perspective

The Labs are well upto dated, enough materials and advanced instruments are available
The campus infrastructure is okay but can improved further

Dislikes

The environment is not healthy for a student.
The student to student bond and interaction are toxic

Admission:

The eligibility criteria includes, The interested student to atleast score 65 percentile in his/her 12th board, the applied subjects that one should have opted in 12th should be pcb or pcmb. The form is available on KIIT's official website. Each year KIIT provide Kiitee exam for admission. The reservation of SC/ST or Physically handicapped is available.

Likes

Their way of teaching is really good, i think KSBT has the best faculty among all other streams.
The exposure and placement opportunities are even great

Admission:

It was nice, anyone is eligible for this course. You just have to show your jee Or neet Or take a direct admission. The people near the office can improve in behavior, they are seemingly rude, which is one point I didn't like at first.

Likes

The style of teaching is so good. And the class notes as well as ppts were too helpful.
Faculties are too helpful. If we have any problem we can contact our mentor also.

Dislikes

Sometimes the cleaning in the hostel not happen regularly.
The food quality sometimes decreases and it even remain raw.

Admission:

Eligibility: PCM/PCB on 10+2 class and 75% result should be scored. The application form is available on the KIIT website. Application fees were Rs.75000. We had to fill out the application form 1 month before the entrance test.

The whole program of total five years. B.Tech is three years and M.Tech is of two years. The course of per year is divided into two semesters so that it becomes easy for the students to keep up with their syllabus. Syllabus is bit vast but the teachers are always there to help the students out.

Fees for btech biotechnology and mtech biotechnology

The first-year fee of B.Tech. + M.Tech integrated course is INR 3.50 lacs. The second, third fourth and fifth years fee structures of the course are the same as the first-year fees. The total fee of the course is INR 17.50 lacs.
