My Personal KIIT Review

Dislikes

  • Some of the faculties are not up to the mark, not worth attending their classes just a waste of time
  • Poor grading system and also kind of biased

Course Curriculum Overview :

Initially seeing the advertisement it seemed to be a dream college but as one says don't judge a book by it's cover, it applies here too! They say 100% placement record is offered to all but as far as I can see due to recession, the conditions are degrading and the quality of companies that are coming are not up to the mark except a few

Internships Opportunities :

There are several roles offered such as software engineer, data science domains, full stack developer, cybersecurity domains, research, sales and Marketing and many more. The company's hiring steps are, first they shortlist a number of students by their resume then technical round and finally hr interview.

Placement Experience :

Placements as discussed earlier were great for our Alumni but post COVID things have changed and it's a shame that even IITs cannot offer 100% placements. Big companies also come such as Google , Goldmann Sacchs, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, etc. also mentioning Atlassian with the highest placement package of 62lpa.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As far as tuition fee is concerned, it's a bit highers as compared to others and also gradually increasing but it's all because of its records and outstanding infrastructure. The cost of education as per my current 2025 passing years is around 18 lacs for 4 years including hostel and mess.

Campus Life :

The environment in the college is sensational. There are plenty of events, clubs, societies, fests etc. etc. and many more room for recreation and fun. We also have a central library so big I mistook it as a shopping mall, which consists an ocean of books and magazine. I can't comment much on societies as I didn't participate much but there are plenty to explore and learn

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel rooms are decent and manageable and the food is also hygenic and fair but there is room for improvement. The freshers get special attention and get even better hostels and special care as they are very strict against ragging and indisciplinary activities.

Admission :

To get an admission you need to give the KIITEE entrace test which is held in 4 phases and it's quite decent in terms of difficulty. I personally gave only one attempt and scored 92 percentile and bagged in CSE which is the most demanded stream. You can visit the official Kiit website for all additional information

Faculty :

The ratio recently has skyrocketted as there are more pupils and lesser jobs as in my classroom there are approximately around 80 students but it's gradually increasing annually. In terms of faculty, some have remarkable skills and teaching approaches but there are also very poor graded arrogant teachers, so choose your section wisely.

Placement Experience:

At our college, students usually start looking for jobs from the 6th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others visit the campus to hire students. The number of job offers varies each year. The highest and average salaries depend on the company and the job roles they offer. Not all students might get placed, but the college tries to help as many as possible. As for me, after getting my degree, I'll probably look for a job that matches my skills and interests. If that doesn't work out, I might consider further studies or gaining more experience through internships.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario for now it not that good. There is regression going on so the companies aren't taking that many students. From the 3rd year you are eligible for placements. 450 companies came this year for placements making 5200 job offers. The highest placement this year was 63 lacs by Yugabyte. Average CTC is 8.5 lacs in all streams. Mass recruiters like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM etc. Many other notable companies that visited are Bain & Company, CME group, DE shaw & co, JP Morgan Chase etc. According to kiit website, 90% students are placed. 2100 students also got internships via capstone route. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job for some years and then after getting some experience I want to do a startup.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Several reputable companies visit, including names like TechCorp and Innovate Solutions, offering diverse roles. The highest package is around 10 LPA, while the average hovers around 5 LPA. Approximately 80% of students secure placements, showcasing the college's commitment to fostering employability. For more comprehensive information on the companies that visit, you can explore the details provided on the official placement page: [Placement Details](https://autonomous.gift.edu.in/placement/). As for my plans, I aim to explore opportunities aligned with my field of study, seeking a role that allows for continuous learning and professional growth. My plans after the degree is to hold a good job placing myself as being capable enough to get placed

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because now days this course is so demandable and this course is very popular in our collage. There no of 60+ faculties are available and no of students will 3000+ in various streams. All the facilities are highly educated and experienced. There are 2semisters in a year. One is odd semister and second one is even semister. And the examination is very strict process.

In this college, from the 5th-semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited our college for campus placement like Infosys, Wipro, Hexaware, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc. The highest placement of this year is 9.20L and the average package is 4.50L.
