I will be explaining the entire placement scenario in detail under three headings: KIIT Recruitment process, KIIT placement assistance, and KIIT Placement statistics.

KIIT Recruitment process

  • Step 1: The visiting companies present their job profiles along with fixed eligibility criteria generally comprising 10th, 12th, and undergrad scores. Some companies may prefer students with programming skills
  • Step 2: KIIT Students choose their field of interest from the plethora of available options and analyze their eligibility for the same.
  • Step 3: The shortlisted students appear for the written round of the test that includes – aptitude, English, verbal & reasoning, and programming for IT companies.
  • Step 4: Once they have cleared the above rounds, students have to sit for the GDs and interview rounds depending on what company they are appearing for.

Studied B. Tech from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (2023)

A friend of mine was studying at KIIT and by the time he had reached his 4th year, he has already been placed. Currently, he has a good job in Hyderabad in a reputed company.

From the input I received from him, here are some points:

  1. There will be a plethora of companies to choose from CSE/IT background. To name some Amazon, SAP Labs, Dell, IBM, Deloitte, HighRadius, etc.
  2. Companies like Fiat, Wilson, Sterling, etc. approach Mechanical or Civil students.
  3. A number of companies approach students from ETC/EEE departments and the number is immense.
  4. Your performance in online tests, GDs, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, coding will matter. English writing and reading skills would be observed as well.

In case you are selected for a particular company, you would have to restrict yourself from approaching other companies. Your call letter would entirely depend on what company it is.

KIIT has been witnessing dismissals from companies too, but the management is working on bringing them back.

As far as the CGPA factor is concerned, the companies require a limit of 6.00 CGPA + 0 backlogs. In case you fulfill that requirement, any MNC would accept you.
