- The attitude of most of the teachers is very helpful and are ready to help if you lag behind
- The infrastructure is fantastic with great libraries and labs
Dislikes
- The course fee which is quite high and requires loan to fulfill
- The huge number of students make the college very densely populated and creates a very high competition during placements
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is pretty standard and made accordingly by the industry standards and would help greatly help you improve your skills also its planned in such a method that it isn't too hard to grasp and can be done with a little sincerity
Internships Opportunities :
The internships offered to second year students are quite low with a stipend ranging from 0 to 12000 per month whereas third year students have great opportunities for internships from companies such as intel, LTI mind tree
Placement Experience :
The students are eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. 100s of companies visit KIIT every year which includes famous companies like Intel , Microsoft , Tcs , JP Morgan , Wipro , Infosys , Tech Mahindra , Maruti Suzuki. The placement offers go as high as 72 LPA and the average is around 100000 LPA . In 2023 97% Students were placed
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Tuition fees is around 1500000 laks for the five year course and usually increases by 5 to 10% every year . The hostel which includes a basic three shared bed room non ac and mess fees would cost you around 500000 for 4years and it may go up as you choose more premium hostels such as the ac rooms . Kiit also provides scholarships for students who perform exceptionally well in the entrance examination , but given the student has an sgpa of 7.5 or above in every semester
Campus Life :
The campus life at KIIT is very happening with events occurring throughout the year including the annual fest which is a 5 day long event and includes very fun events . The departmental libraries are very nice and resourceful including a huge collection of books and research papers but the central library is a state of the art in itself. The labs are very highly advanced with latest technologies and powerful computers . There are many clubs which are run by students and cater to each one's choice
Hostel Facilities :
The most basic room i.e. 3 shared bed non ac includes a bed a table and chair and a wardrobe for each occupant and common washroom is shared by the whole corridor There are more premium options such as ac rooms and also premium ac rooms which include attached washroom with every room. The food quality is pretty decent and the menu is has a good variety over the week . You can opt for the hostel during your admission procedure where you will be provided a form for you hostel preferences. The most basis room with food charges would cost you around 500000 for the entire course of 4 years . Local pg are also available within 1km radius of the campus
Admission :
The eligibility criteria for the course is that you have to score a average of 60% in your 12th board exams in physics chemistry and maths . The admission forms are available on KIITEE i.e. the entrance examination for KIIT and the registration starts from November and the exams occur in four to five phases starting from the month kf January. The syllabus stays same as of JEE but the difficulty remains lower than JEE
Faculty :
Most of the teachers are very helpful and would go out of thier ways to help you out if you are unable to understand, and on special request they would even help you out after class hours if younare struggling with any topic pr lagging behind for some reason
