BA. International Relations at the Central University of Kerala is a undergraduation program which has adopted new education policy of the central government. The program is the only Under graduation program in international relations which is provided by a university in the country. I am very fond of international politics, so I have chosen this course. The department has 40 seats in a year and faculties are permanent and Qualified with NET+Doctoral Degrees and have experience of a long period in teaching. Exams are genuine and not so easy to pass. Only the students who are aware of the concepts clearly can pass the tests.

Economics is a dynamic course and potential employment-providing course anytime. Hence this course opted. In the Economics department, there were about 7 Faculties with an average of 37 students every batch. Faculties are all well qualified and have PHDs and teaching method includes the use of the latest technology. Every semester there was a minimum of two mid-term tests conducted which eventually counted as a part of internals and other internal marking components including regular assignments, presentations, etc according to the subject and course requirements
Since I was an economics graduate, I wanted to pursue a pg in economics and hence appeared for cuet exam. The economics department has more than 7 faculties whereas every batch contains an average student of 30. The 2020 batch had 38 students. Every semester there were at least 2 midterm tests and other internal components like presentations and assignments were given accordingly. Exams were moderate to pass.
The syllabus covers almost all the topics that are important for a pg student. It's a bit tough for the sometimes but books from the library contain all the books that can help students to learn deeply about the topics The faculties are really outstanding. They are always so kind and helpful. They cover the whole syllabus within time and were ready to repeat the portions again and again. They never pressurize or insulted students. There have associate professors, assistant professors, and guest lectures. Semester exams are not so easy but if you are ready to learn a topic to its depth then you can score a good mark.
The University is one among the Central Universities in India and the facilities and faculty here is much good. The syllabus must be more practical. Need to implement practical approaches. The library timings are limited. Reference books are need to be stocked more.
My college was good in all academic and extra carricular activities. They provide a national level exposure because people from all over India is there. There are international students also there with fellowship from different agencies. Overall it is a great place to achieve your dreams in career.
Placements are not many. It's very sad to say that there is no placement for Students through campus recruitment. Students have to work hard and score good marks to pursue their PhD. They don't offer any good placement.
Being a new and devoloping University, the facilities are good and still they can accept development in sports, cultural activities
The option to chose elective subjects in the semesters to help student show their interest and gain skills in the subjects that are remotely connected to the course. It also helps in minor projects that are an important part of the course.
The admission process involves filling an application form and needing to appear for CUCET which is an entrance exam by the university. The merit list of this test and the 12th marks are considered for admission.
