The faculty-to-student ratio in my college is 1:5. The faculties of my department are very friendly and so much available to me. There are total 4 semesters in my MSc. Computer Science course. Each semester consists of 2 exams. One is mid-semester exam and other is end-semester exam.

Campus Life:

My college organizes many annual functions and sports festivals each and every year. The library of my college is a very popular yet old library named kanika library. The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library is so huge.

Yes.the year wise fees I paid is 1,47,000 in this they add tution fees, caution fees, registration fees, development fees also, just exam fees they take separately. I am in general category so I have to pay full fees but my other friends who are in OBC/ebc they only paid half of the fee like just 70 k. Ebc and tfws these scholarships are available in most of the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

5/10. Because the curriculum and course both are way to old according to the world..this curriculum we learn from 90 still hasn't changed.. after that how many technologies has come but still they didn't added.difficulty lvl of exams are moderate. In curriculum they have to add real world applications so students can be prepared

Faculty:

The faculty ratio over students were 10 over 200 students. as our class strength were about 70 per class. The faculties were approachable & friendly in nature except few faculties who were very rude and egoistic during my tenure of studies. My favourite faculty was Dr. Murialidhara sir as he was very intelligent, very good at he's subject and was very funny too. My enemy like faculty was sandhya mam, as she was very rude with me and as well with others. I gave 4 exams in four sems. Only very few were not able to clear the test. The course curriculum was good enough. Thank you

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Way the faculties teaches the subject was very good. but one problem was that, The subject was updated as it was very old syllabus our college followed till my tenure, due to which it didn't help us very much in the real world application outside the college. The areas of improvement i would suggest is to update the syllabus and give placement opportunities for students to grow in life. The exams were very much easy to crack.

To my according, faculty is not enough as per the students ration. Though some of the teachers are so well skilled and supportive but most of them have 0 experience. I personally liked Mrs. Harkirat kaur. She is brilliant, caring, supportive amd carrer guiding angel. No doubt some of the other faculties are good. There's no any personal review for not liking any faculty but some of the teachers with no experience and no knowledge are not in the list. Exams vary upon the course chosen and so their difficulty level. About 3% failed their exam. Course curriculum is relevant enough as marks can be obtained from assignments, projects, attendance. Which makes it easier to pass.

The faculty is well qualified and are very experienced. They are very approachable and are very happy to help if you have a query. We should maintain discipline and respect towards them as a matter of fact and they would be pretty kind towards students. They provide valuable insights and learning materials and guidance if approached by students. The exam pattern has now changed. For each semester we have 4 internals and one final exam. each internal is of different pattern and each is from a seperate unit. The first unit is teasted in first internal and there are 4 units thus 4 internals. The final public examination is in the same campus but for 50 marks only. Remaining 50 marks are awarded from the 4 internals and 10 marks are for attendance. The semester exam consists of 4 theory and 2 practical examinations.

Ques. What is the correct ranking between IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, and IIIT Hyderabad for Masters in Computer Science?

● Top Answer By Sumit Singh Gandhi on 28 Apr 23

Ans. Before I rank these institutes, I will warn you against joining IIT Roorkee for CS. IIT Roorkee is understaffed and also lacks facilities for research work. Despite being the oldest IIT, it has failed to meet IIT standards and has become a big disappointment  Only a few professors around 10 are there in the CS department and most of them are least interested in doing or promoting research work. So for research aspirants, IIT Roorkee is the last love to be. However, if your only agenda is to secure a well-paid job, IIT Roorkee with its tag will definitely fetch you one. Many top companies offer excellent job profiles to CS students and students of these students are most sought after. Even MTech students are allowed to sit for placements. In my opinion, the ranking should be IIIT Hyderabad>IIT Guwahati>IIT RoorkeeRead more

Ques. Which course is better, an MSc. in finance from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai, or NMIMS, Mumbai or MSc. in financial engineering from IFMR, Chennai?

● Top Answer By Apoorva Katnik on 14 Mar 23

Ans.  If you are considering pursuing a Master of Science (M Sc) degree from NMIMS, it is important to do some further research on the recognition of the degree. However, an MBA from their Mumbai campus can be a good option to consider. On the other hand, IFMR offers only MBA and Ph.D. programs, so it is not possible to pursue an M.Sc from there. As for JBIMS, it is the most prestigious institution in Mumbai, but there have been some concerns raised about the accuracy of their placement salary data. Additionally, the selection process for their M Sc course is quite competitive, with only 30 seats available for the program and a large number of candidates competing for those spots. Considering your interest in finance, it would be beneficial to aim for admission to a top-notch business school like XLRI, which is renowned for its finance program. Another option would be to gain experience in the industry and pursue a finance course such as CFA or FRM, which would make you eligible for admission to world-renowned business schools such as the Indian School of Business.Read more
