IIT Gandhinagar offers MCM Scholarship and New Merit Scholarship to the candidates on the following criteria –
Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship of INR 1000/- P.M to students who are meritorious but come from an economically weak background.
New Merit Scholarships are offered by the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar to the Indian students who have outstanding performance in academics, sports, arts, culture, social work and leadership. This scholarship is different from the merit-cum-means scholarships and will be awarded only on the basis of achievements in respective fields.
Free basic messing and pocket allowance of INR 250 is awarded to all SC/ ST students whose parents annual income is not more than INR 4,50,000. This scholarship is awarded to the students who secure the highest CPI in their respective discipline every year.

- The hostels are well maintained, neat and clean. each floor has a pantry equipped with an induction stove, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, and a water cooler.
- The sports facilites at IITGN are world-class. The sports facilities includes all indoor and outdoor sports. It also jhas an Olympic-sized aswimming pool.
Dislikes
- Mathematics faculty at IITGN is truly remarkable. They are not only experts in their field but also passionate about teaching and helping students grow But No. of mathematics professor is 12 which is less.
- Fests that are organized are comparitively less than old IITs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Total fees of 1 year for a m.sc. student is 113000. It includes tution fees of 20000, hostel rent of 34500, mess and laundary fees is 42000, and other alied charges is 16600. and for 1st sem we have to pay additional addmissiin fees of 10000. For SC\ST students there is no tution fees. and there is tution fees waiver for students whose parental income is less than 2.5 lacs.

- The Sports Complex is a major highlight of IIT Gandhinagar.
- The Campus Amenities are top notch and it is a fully green Campus.
Dislikes
- The Course Load is very High and you will get very less free Time.
- The Exams are quite challenging and you have to keep thinking out of the box.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Year Wise Fees: 300000 Breakdown: Tuition Fees: 100000 Hostel Fees: 17250 Mess Fees: 32750 For Category Students, Academic Fees are waived. Hostel Fees are waived for SC/ST as well. Many Scholarships are available which can be checked on the IIT Gandhinagar website. Each Scholarship has different requirements.

- I like the hostels and the campus its very green and clean
- the friend circle, all of them are very different and creative as they belong to different part of India hence networking
Dislikes
- as the batch intake is very less there is not very club culture over here
- alumni network is also not that strong as the number of pass out is very less
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
tution fess is 2,00,000 per year and in addition to that there is 1,00,000 fees for hostel mess and laundary, for category student the tution fees is waived off like for sc/st and pwd it is fully waived off irrespective of annual income where as in case of others it is waived off in 2 forms one is if family income is less than 2,00,000 and then it is fully waived off and its in between 2,00,000 to 8,00,000 then its waived offed 2/3 and if its above 8,00,000 then no waiver

- The quality of education and experience you gain from your professors is amazing.
- The sports activities and other cultural fests are very enthusiastic.
Dislikes
- The workload or course curriculam is slightly higher in core fields.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The year wise fees for masters program is 1,16,000. It covers all the tution fees, registration hostel fees, mess fees and other charges. Apart from this, there is summer and winter semester of two months each where you have to pay seperate hostel and mess fees. The scholarship for masters is 12,400 per month for every student irrespective of their field of study.

- Hostels with AC and in the 1st and second year thare are 3 shearing room but in second year we can choose our roommates
- Mess food is. Also very good but south indian may faced issues with that becouse there are not dedicated South Indian food just 1 to 2 times in a week
Dislikes
- In academic college needs to improve strictness
- Very long vacation 3months summer and 1 month winter
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Yes I got mess fees scholarship becouse of sc st catagory students with less then 4.5 lacs family income worth 40k i also got ffe scholarship worth 50k. For good rank holders there nsp scholarship also may be upto 1 lakhs

- The sports complex of the campus is brilliant and the facilities the college provides are excellent.
- The academic courses are very flexible and you can easily choose your graduation path.
Dislikes
- The student clubs don’t get much funding in the long run and people don’t participate as much.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The tuition fees is ?1,00,000 per semester. The housing fees of the hostel is around ?17,250 per semester. The mess and laundry fees is ?21,000 per semester. There are various scholarships for the students who need financial aid.

- Campus is too good and big. We have enough options for relaxation.
- Mess is too much good. It provides us nice food and different vegetation
Dislikes
- I don't like the position of campus as it is too away from city area
- I don't like that there are only two mess which causes us delay
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
My institution provide a different fees structure for different course type. Mostly btech course have a yearly 300000 fees where 100000 is tutions fees while remaining is hostel and mess fees. It also provide fees waiver to SC ST caste.
Likes
- Beautiful infrastructure including hostels, academic area or sport complex. Everything well maintained, organized.
- Liberal campus. People allowed to enter opposite gender's hostels freely
Dislikes
- Difficult to get student funds for cultural fests and activities
- Location of campus is quite off and far from city
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Tuition fees are quite high if we consider it for an academic year but tuition fee waivers and scholarships are also provided to students according to the economic conditions of Students. Also, there are campus employment opportunities for students as TAs.
Likes
- Infrastructure is good. Hygiene is taken care of.
- Social Interactions are good. Hostel life is cool.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Total hostel and mess fees go around 60000 rs. It's not expensive considering the facilities provided by IITGN. Scholarships are there for students from marginalized communities. There is loan option as well.

- Guidance of Seniors, Environment of college is very friendly and helpful.
- College also provide internship opportunities.
Dislikes
- Some humanity courses are mandatory which don't seems much helpful.
- In first year we to study the courses of all the branches which don't related to our domain.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
Fee structure for B.Tech is 1 lac per year. For SC, ST and PWD students, a 100 percent fee waiver is provided. For student below 2.5 lac family income, also a full fee waiver. For 2.5 lac to 5 lac 2/3 fee wavier is available.
