In M.Tech the course curriculum is not that good here the main focus is not on practical knowledge it just focuses on theory subjects in 1st year of m. tech. They should be a course in which the student can prepare for real-world market and have the confidence to be productive for the company from the very first day.

I must say the curriculum is relevant to the course here for mtech cse. All the different subjects hold its own importance according to the course. But I didn't like the teaching methods of faculties here. Sometimes it feels like PPT presentation class. There are two exams in one semester. Mid Sem Exam and End Sem Exam and they both are pretty much normal not too difficult.

The course curriculum is kind of standard and the faculty is not very good. I chose the math course for better placement and also for improvement of my learning and this a good place to have. here is 2 exam that have to happen one is mid and the other end sem
The M.Tech program at NIT Rourkela features a well-structured curriculum with a mix of core and elective courses. The faculty members are experienced and well-qualified. I selected this program for its Ph.D. or equivalent degrees and es academic reputation, industry connections, and research opportunities. NIT Rourkela maintains a favorable faculty-to-student ratio, ensuring individualized attention and guidance. The faculty holds mploys a practical, application-oriented teaching approach. Term exams are typically conducted on schedule, and pass difficulty varies by course, with ample support provided for success.
If we talk about the fee structure then it is little bit expensive. But the facilities which Institute provides to us is really good. But still they can make the fees more feasible as per students by making some relaxation in it.
The quality of roles and packages offer to MTech CSE students of NIT Rourkela depends on individual skills and expectations and therefore cannot be generalized.

Overall, the placement conditions are decent and not all students get placed. Most CS companies allow only BTech students to sit for placements and therefore Mech students end up in service-based companies like TCS, and IBM (GBS). This poor placement scenario stems from the outdated CSE curriculum at NIT Rourkela. The curriculum focuses on theoretical concepts only and students are not exposed to practical experiences.
So, I will suggest you go for CSE M.tech at NIT Rourkela only if you are unemployed after your BTech or you want to pursue your career academically. Joining this course on the pretext of getting better jobs will not be a wise decision.
