My engagement with the campus life was very good. And theres was a very refreshing atmosphere out there.
Teaching methods and Mentorship qualities are far better in this college.

The disobedience of some students towards such kind teachers

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was very provoked and manifested towards biological lives so thats the reason i choose this course They prepared me well enough for real world. We need more skilled and talented professors for future developments.

Class Size : 905Course Fees : INR 5000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I have paid yearly a amount of fees around 5000 approximately because it is a govt college And as a general caste student i have not receive any types of scholarship. But as a student i would must say that this is a very good college and the staffs , teachers and management were also very nice to all of us throughout those years. Many scholarships were available there for students belonging to rural areas, Bpl category students and SC, ST students

Campus Life :

Festivals like Golden Jubilee programs. Traditional Assamese festivals also being celebrated there. And freshers also. And farewell programs also programmed there. Sports and extracurricular activities also offered their in the campus As college weeks i.e, held for a week. Yes there was a student union for the students out there where various topics related to students were listened and if any injustice was being served to them then an immediate action was taken against them.

Admission :

I choose this college over others because of the recorded results of their previous years. And very close to my house that is also a very reason for choosing this college. No, i have not get any rejection from other college. The admission process is based on the Higher secondary results and marks on the science based subject.

Faculty :

The faculty behavior towards the students were too good and approachable. Either of the any problems we face they were always there with us to solve those queries. As a Zoology honours student our Head of the Department. Dr. Rana konwar sir was a nice and very gentle man and a down to earth person. I like him very much personally and he was always there for students too. We got 2 semester wise exam reffered as TERM1 &TERM2 for each of the semester. And the passing results were 100% in our college

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Remarks:

Tezpur university is a central university, and every year in the university ranking report of overall india it performing the top and in the all asian region aswell. The campus is also really beautiful and as my nearer to the hometown i found this is the best for me. The teaching stuff is also good and after the completion of this we get the job aswell. So i found this course is helpful for me.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunity a lot from the course for government job aswell as private sectors. Many of our alumni getting jobs in different platform, some of them are having research, P.Hd, some of them are doing their own firm, for the end last semester many of the NGO's companies visited offered us to getting internship and after the successful completion of it we will getting job.

Remarks:

College management is good and really helpful the mess food is not so good also that canteen in our college is so pathetic. the infrastructure of the college is really good and the teaching is also really good placement is patient or college need to work more on skill building of the weak students.

Admission:

For BTech we have to give JEE mains exams so according to ranks there will be admission in this college. There is no management quota or any other mode of admission in the BTech for MTech or PhD there is direct interview based admission. First we have to give the exam for JEE mains then we have to sit in the counselling for getting the seat in the college.
