Course Curriculum Overview :

To be very honest the course yaar is very very updated it is not even par with the changing times . You spend most of your time copying assignments and don't get any real hand experience that can help you in your job life. Everything revolves around marks. Teachers will keep reminding you how and why marks are very very important to get a good CGPA and get a job . EGD is taught on paper rather than on AutoCAD for some weird reason. However you would be taught AutoCAD later.

Internships Opportunities :

As per my information that I have gathered from the seniors , the college tries is level best provide the students will internship at the end of their 4th sem for Industry experience and exposure. The college is dedicated to provide you jobs given that you give your 100% for your dedication towards the placements and internships

Placement Experience :

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total fee for the B.Tech program at NIT Silchar is approximately 5.54 lakhs INR . Here's a breakdown of the fees for the first semester: - *Development Fee*: 3,000 INR - *Corpus Fee*: 1,000 INR - *Student Aided Fund*: 1,000 INR - *Alumni Fee*: 1,000 INR - *T&P Charges*: 1,000 INR - *Miscellaneous Fee*: 500 INR - *Admissions Fee*: 1,000 INR - *Tuition Fee*: 62,500 INR - *Other Fees*: 8,600 INR - *Institutional Caution Money (Refundable)*: 10,000 INR - *Total Fee (Semester 1)*: 89,600 INR - *Hostel Caution Money (Refundable)*: 10,000 INR Please note that these fees are subject to change, and you should check the institute's website.

Campus Life :

The clubs here are very active. There are more than 40 clubs in the campus and you enjoy your time in the campus with the clubs as well as in the orientation as well . The clubs here are determined in organizing various events all throughout the year.

Admission :

The main reason for selecting this college was the fact that this was the only college in my state with an NIT tag. The other NITS close to me with Durgapur and North eastern and NITS. So I preferred and it Silchar about them because it has a good NIRF ranking and it also comes under the top 10 NITs in India. That was the only reason for choosing this college. Also this college has a beautiful campus and very vibrant fests and all so I chose this

Faculty :

Most of the faculties are good and cooperative. However some of them are very strict and they don't want to give you marks. The faculties are very tough to deal with and they don't give you marks no matter how much you tried they don't give you and labs are very hectic. You have to attend lab every day. *Marking Scheme* Mid sem - 30 Endsem - 50 Sessional - 10 Internal - 10
