Dibrugarh Hanumanbux Surajmal Kanoi College was established in 1945 and it is affiliated to Dibrugarh University. The DHSK College, originally named the Dibrugarh College, later on came to be renamed after its donors as Dibrugarh Hanumanbax Surajmall Kanoi College in 1957. The total land area in possession of the college is 16.61 acres. The College has in total twenty departments of which 12 nos. are in Arts and 8 nos. in Science streams respectively. It is recognized by UGC under section of 2(f) and 12(b). The College has been accredited by NAAC.

- The things I really like about my college is that it provides all the necessity we require and the clean campus of our college and a vast Library.
- The teachers, the faculty here are so good. Their patience, kindness and expertise made complex concepts accessible. All the teachers lectures are well-structured and informative . Their patience with all the students are admirable .
Dislikes
- The girls toilet is little dirty and smelly . It need to be more clean
- The current is very much distrubing in our college

I applied in other colleges such as dibru college, digboi college, dibrugarh University, gauhati university etc. My 1st option was I really wanted to study in dibrugarh University but for my poor grades in my HS exam I couldn't make it . So I prefer dhsk college at spot admission and I got selected for major in chemistry which I wished to. My college admission were through samarth portal which was based on merit list of the HS exam. To get admission in dhsk college, the student must have a qualified HS marksheet with good grades. My experience was very lucky because there was only one seat available in my course. So I am really happy to get admission in dhsk college and now I am trying my hard to improve my studies.

- I like the disciplinary of the college and the greenary garden and the canteen and also the college people
- I like the college library it's soo peaceful to go and study and it's very helpful library

- The college toilet is not that clean I think they should clean the toilet and keep it little bit good smelling
- I think college should stop nc and dc rules because not everyone have money to pay for nc

I applied for North lakhimpur and kanoi college but I got confirmation in kanoi college I choose the kanoi college because I want to study in city area and I like the clg environment and also kanoi college gives you many opportunities in sports and in studies . I didn't got admission in North lakhimpur because of my low percentage . You can apply in samarth portal and also you can get spot admission. Above 50 percent you can get admission in kanoi college neet and other college

- Faculty is nice , they give a regular notes and assignment

- No personal care towards students and very much stress
- Being a old college since British era but no placement

Samarth portal is a flop software with created many difficulties in the time of admission, I applied for Dibrugarh university and got rejected because of the preference set by Samarth portal , actually to study in Dhsk you need to get a decent percentage based on which you'll get admission

- For other students is an exploser place where they can enjoy and study at the same time in a new city

- College authorities don't allow plastic bottles inside the campus but they allow plastic rappers chips plastics and all
- Uniform could be better other than white

I needed to explore this new city of Dibrugarh and it was in my range and my friends where also in this college and the college is very reputed and old so I wanted to join this college that's all what I needed

- There is no AC in certain departments which is difficult to survive in summer

I did applied to other colleges and did not got any confirmed admissions so i have chosen this college I did got rejection from other colleges, the cutoff marks or other colleges were high and i got rejected. The admission process was offline. Seats were given on merit based class 12th marksheets were necessary and other necessary documents

the admission process was according to merit lists of the students who applied there based on their 12th Marks... The lists were prepared.. I chose this college because it was near my house at walking distance basically and for the other colleges... there are many reasons that I didn't got into or Chose another college.

- The physics faculty is very good and the teachers help us in every possible situation.
- The campus is very neat and clean and it is very refreshing.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the teachers don't take class and they don't inform about it.
- During hot and sunny days we need fans but some of the fans don't work .
Admission:
I chose this college because its faculity is very experienced and they teach us very well and help us in everything.I also applied in Joysagar college and i got an addmission offer from them but i didn't took addmission there because i came to know that kanoi better than any other college.

- The teaching methods used by the faculty members is beyond ppreciable. The love and praise given by them is not found in any other institution.
- The campus itself speaks harmony and love. The nature here is blessed with students who take care of all the plants and cleanliness in the institution
Dislikes
- The network availability is poor as no wifi is provided for the students
- A lot of traffic is seen as there are many other colleges in this area
Admission:
I also applied in an university but when I suddenly came into this institution I loved everything about it. I got into merit lists in other colleges but this institution gave me such a good aura that it was difficult to move on. The admission is based on the class 12 th board examinations

- No proper drainage system of rainwater and water clogging
- The toilets need to be more clean and sanitised

I chose for Dibrugarh Hanumanbux Surajmal Kanoi College over other Colleges because most of my classmates, friends and seniors are pursuing education from this college. Also this college had been my personal favourite

- First and foremost is the environment and surrounding, the entire campus and the programs held here.
- The teaching methods includes both verbal and audio-visual

- The toilet facilities is quite inconvenient
- Too busy and crowdy due to a very large population
Admission:
I chose this college because it was the best decision at that time . Also, the environment is very good. The faculty is good as well. I did had other choice but it was the best decision at that time being. The admission was also done very swiftly.
