Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is pretty old type like teaching methodology and everything is traditional ones. Some changes are required. Very less use of software. Normal pen to paper work or manual methodology is used

Class Size : 158Course Fees : INR 124000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

NIT Silchar placements 2024 stood at INR 52.89 LPA and INR 13.54 LPA, respectively. Further, the median package offered during NIT Silchar placements 2024 stood at INR 10 LPA. Apart from this, more than 600 offers were made and 200 companies visited the campus during NIT Silchar placements 2024. Importantly, more than 50 offers above INR 20 LPA were made during NIT Silchar placements 2024.

Placement Experience :

From 5th semester some students get internships. And from 7th semester they get placements. Highest package for 2024 was 52.89 LPA. Average - 13.5 LPA Placement percentage - 83%. Many students get placed in very good companies.

Campus Life :

There are many clubs here like sports club, music club, dance club, Social service club, NCC and many more. Overall these clubs develop the individual effectively. For sports There is dedicated grounds for each and every sport. There is also gym.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is quite good. In First year we get Double or triple sharing room depending upon JEE ranks. Mess is inside the hostel only. Mess have both veg and non veg options. There is separate night canteens in hostel also.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

This was the best college that I can get on my JEE All india Rank. So, I joined here. I joined here because it is the Institute of National importance. It has very good infrastructure, good placements. Admission process is very smooth here.

Faculty :

Faculties are very good, well experienced and Supporrive. Some of the faculties come under top 2% Scientists of the world. They are very dedicated towards their work. But Some are not so good also .

The placement of our college is quit good. Many companies came here for on campus placement companies like tcs,sbi, downtown hospital, etc. and many more companies and organisations came here for placement offer . The highest placement was - ?25 lakh PA and the average placement was- ?4 lakh PA.

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.
