My College

Dislikes

  • The exam system is what i disliked the most.
  • Sometimes your course gets too distracted from the main course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Computer Science is a very optimistic branch of this college , there is a lot of scope of Computer Science in future . And the college is trying their best to teach us and training us to deal with the real world

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is somewhat kind of relief in fees as compared to the private colleges as they charges 1.5 lacs per semester but here its 75000 in even and 85000 in odd semester which is reasonable in my opinion but personally there is no scholarship for me as i belong to OBC-NCL category

Campus Life :

I guess the infrastructure is one thing we can bear . My college has one of the best infrastructures . And club involvement is very much good and one thing that is keeping the distance between seniors and juniors very less

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are very good . They are trying to do their best to make a student or a new comer feel home . Meals are good , evening snacks are good, everything that can make a student feel home is there .

Admission :

Cutoff for each branch varies frrom time to time and place to place . For my branch the cut off was about 91 percentile for OBC category and about 98.4 percentile for general category. Anyone can find additional info or answers to personal question from official website of NIT Hamirpur.

Faculty :

Faculties are somewhat helpful but such faculties are very few in number . They just care about completing their syllabus. They just come and starts with the studies . But some faculties are very much helpful too , they care for the students too .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum InfluencesInnovative Course Structure: The curriculum is designed to integrate technical education with humanities and social sciences, ensuring a well-rounded education. Entrepreneurship Focus: The presence of the IIT Mandi Catalyst, a technology business incubator, encourages students to develop entrepreneurial skills alongside their technical education. Broader Elective Options: Some students feel that offering a wider range of elective courses would allow for more personalized and diverse learning experiences. Enhanced Practical Exposure: Increasing the number of industry visits, internships, and practical workshops could further bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications Faculty Training: While the faculty is highly qualified, regular professional development and training sessions could help them stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and technological advancements
