Infrastructure is very good. All the faculty is well experienced
Highest package that is offered to a student.

Dislikes

70% attendance criteria. it should be upto 50%

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is good but their is some disadvantage in it. Semester duration is 3-4 months.It should be increased to 4 to 5 months.Mid semester exams are held after 1 months of semester start.Overall curriculum is good

Class Size : 125Course Fees : INR 42220 per year

Internships Opportunities :

College provide many internship opportunities in large industrial sector.Mostly student get internship offer in 5th or 7th semester.We can learn many things during internship process from the industry experts.

Placement Experience :

Most of the students are eligible for placements from 7th semester but few are eligible from 5th semester based upon your skills and enthusiasm.Highest package is record breaking upto 1Cr and percentage of student placed is also very high..Overall the placement is good

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Their is several scholarships provided for students to give them financial aid.Total tuition fee is upto 3 to 4 lakhs.Total mess charges is upto 2.5 lakhs.The college provides many scholarships which helps them alot

Campus Life :

NIT Hamirpur organize two fest one is hillfair and other is Nimbus which is a technical fest..In both fests students can learn cultural as well as technical things and interact with seniors..There are several groups which we can join and learn new things from these clubs..Library facilities is also good

Hostel Facilities :

All the hostels are good in infrastructure except few one.. Meal quality is good and menu is also very well designed by mess secretary.Their is a 3 or 4 seater rooms in almost all hostels.And internet connectivity is also very good.

Hostel Fee : INR 60000 per year

Admission :

Admission process is very smooth.Cut off is high for general category.Their is several steps in the admission process but their is a smooth channel for admission process.Exam is moderate to tough and cutoff is expected high and their is limited seats.

Faculty :

Faculty members is well experienced and years of experience of teaching. The faculty to student ratio is not bad.Every faculty is helpful to students.They helped student to reach their goals in future and achieve their dreams by doing well for them.

Interview Experience :

No there is no interviews or GD for admission process.There is a online exam for admission that is JEE MAINS.Pattern of the paper is physics chemistry and mathematics of class 10+1 or 10+2. I prepare for this exam by self study mode.

Placement Experience:

after 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements Compamies like TechMahindra, wipro,Hcl and many more visited here.The avergae package given by companies are 6-7 lakhs. highest package of our campus is of 60lakhs something. In chitkara rajpura campus highest package is 1.2 cr More than 90% of students get placed. but the condtion is that students do not have any suply and the student have maintained the attendance minimum75% in every subject My plans are too get placed in Company with good package

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is quite good . It is very relevant like we have course on thermodynamics, rigid body mechanics which is useful in mechanical engineering and there are also robotics course for all branches so that every one can know the basics of robotics . There are coding courses for everyone so that everyone can know tech field Also there are extra curricular courses which are very relevant to our daily life like Language speaking courses like french , German , english . Also our college has started have semester exchange facility available to foreign colleges.

The students can start getting placement offers from the 6th semester itself in the form of PPOs(Pre Placement Offers), A lot of high value companies give placements and the placement drive starts early in the 7th semester itself. The percentage of students placed generally is upwards of the 75% mark. The students can get placed in any sort of company as per their pedigree. Some PSUs also offer few positions directly. The institute also has MOUs with some other Institutes that offer Masters and Post Graduation programmes directly.

Placement Experience:

Placement scenerio is same as the other nit colleges like highest package goes about 1cr and lowest will be 6lpa and median is. About 9lpa and overall an average placement of 13lpa . Percentage of students getting placed is 85 percent but Barch and engineering physics has lower placement in this college. Many of the student went for higher studies .my plan is to get placed after the completion of degree.

Many companies visit the college for the campus placements and the package at my time ranged between 2.5 LPA-4.2 LPA. As a fresher the package is good. As its usually the first job so package does not matter,what matters is the company you are working with. At my time the many companies visited the campus for placements.
