- I liked how the faculties are very interactive which we don't find common in other institutes.
Dislikes
- There are not much things to dislike about the college but the communication gap between north indian students and south indian students
- Mess menu is not properly designed but it is improving day by day
Course Curriculum Overview :
One special thing about this institute is that it offers a special course called Product Design which is not offered at any other institutes in India except IIITDM Jabalpur and IIITDM Kurnool. This course is very helping in understanding how a product is made from scratch. Also the entire curriculum is designed as per the industry needs to offer maximum placements.
Internships Opportunities :
Various companies visit the campus for internship programs such as Zoho, Accenture, Capgemini, Maruti Suzuki, GenInniv, IIT Madras, etc. Students are recruited for the roles of Software Developers, AI engineers , Data Analyst, Product Manager etc
Placement Experience :
The placement records of the course is quite impressive. The recent statistics of placement shows that the 2020-2024 batch has received an average annual salary of 11.91 LPA and the Dual Degree students with various specialization have received an average of 19+ LPA. Almost all the big tech companies visit the campus for on campus recruitment
Fees and Financial Aid :
For the current semester, the tuition fee for the 2023 batch is 73000/semester. Every semester the fee hikes by around 10%. Including the mess, hostel and tuition fee and considering the hikes the entire course might cost around 9,50,000 for 4 years. Also there are a lot of scholarships provided by central and state governments.
Campus Life :
The campus life in this college is quite chill. Students enjoy sufficient freedom. Also we have several fests and events which keep students engaged in extra curricular activities also. The tech fest is called Vashishth which is generally organized in the month of january which receives participants from all over Tamil Nadu. Our cultural fest is called Samgatha and it is organised with pomp and show. It receives an average footfall of 3k-4k people from all over Tamil Nadu. Also there are various other events such as Meraki, E-Summit.
Hostel Facilities :
We have an on campus hostel. There are three hostels namely Ashwatha and Ashoka are for boys and Jasmine for girls. Every room in the hostel is a double sharing room and two cots, two chairs, two tables and two cupboards are provided in each room. The mess is called Akshaya and it is combined mess for all the students. Separate floors are divided for different years students. The food is quite healthy but the menu needs more improvement
Admission :
To be eligible for this course, one has to write the JEE Mains exam and has to get a rank below 30,000 for a general canditate. For reserved categories, it might get upto 35,000. Also one more important eligibilty criteria is you have to get a minimum of 75% in boards in exam
Faculty :
The faculty to students ratio is quite high which facilitates proper attention to all the students. Also the faculties are very educated and most of them are from premiere institutes of this country such as IITs, NITS and some of them are from foreign universities. Teachers are very interactive and very keen to take students' doubts.
Interview Experience :
No there is no such kind of things for admission. Most of the admission process is done online through JoSAA and CSAB. There is a physical reporting in which we have to present and submit all the documents phyiscally. This process is quite easy and there are various volunteers to help out.
