Remarks :

A very good college. We don't have any barriers between students and management. If we are facing any issues we directly inform them. If any asks me this college or some other iiits I prefer this than any top iiits

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes, we have labs as well as theory courses. Exams are a little tougher and you have to think of answers. No book can give you a direct answer. The concept will be there but without using your knowledge you cannot get the answer. Yes, we will have many technical talks from many professors from different parts of India. Yes, there are industrial visits planned by students.

Placement Experience :

Our seniors are recruited by Google, Samsung, Amazon, ibm etc. And for internship companies:IBM, evive, covium, ciphense, zentron labs etc and I got selected for IBM in the first round but finally got intern in ciphense ai research lab

College Events :

Technical fest - vashisht, cultural fest-samgatha, apart from these we celebrate freshers day, hostel night, almost all festivals(Onam Pongal many more) ofc holi, Diwali are the best. We have only our college participants in normal events. But for Samgatha we have all India participation

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is less compared to iits nits and some deemed universities but more than normal local colleges. I think it is feasible because our college also offers scholarships to some poor people, based on merit etc there is no free break down you have to pay in one payment at the start of college. There is no discount because it is a government college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I didn't opt. But I think you have to take aa form from the college (that approves as a student of iiitdm Kancheepuram) and submit the form in the bank to get the loan. Getting a loan for these prestigious college's is easy.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio 3:1ofc boys are more. We have many clubs like EDM, cs, robotics, music, dance many more. Daily we will have one or the other clubs event. The most important thing is we don't have ragging in our college. No one literally no one rags. A very friendly ecosystem.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes, I can surely say our hostels are the best. 24 hr power supply, high-speed wifi, clean bathrooms and one or two persons per room which is the best things. we have washing machines to clean our clothes. We have a separate bed, table, chair for every student in their room and we also have a balcony attached to the room.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yeah, alumni come and give speeches and they also help us so much. They help us how to achieve or secure a good placement

Admission :

Based on my jee mains rank, I need to select some colleges in order and submit the priority order to the government. Based on no of applications. Government select a cut off to every college. And it allots me a college. If I like the college I can stop the procedure or wait for my application to go up(topmost priority college). We have 7 rounds for this counselling.

Faculty :

We have one faculty per course. Who has an experience of 20+ years in teaching and research(they still do research). We can contact than at any point in time in college hours. In case if you have any doubts regarding class we can meet them in later hours for clarification.

Placement Experience:

Students starting placed from their last semester. Reputed companies gave an offer. Like tcs, Accenture, Infosys, etc. The highest package will be 60k and minimum 25k. 98% got placed before completing the degree. 55% above is the minimum for placement if you want to be placed in a high package of salary Job.

SASTRA College Life- An Amazing Experience

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
