  • This college is just an ordinary government college. Don't have any expectations of any kind.
  • First years and second years share triple occupancy in 1.8k. old blocks for second years.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Biotechnology graduates can work in the field of medicine and healthx6by developing drugs, critical therapies as well as agriculture by developing genetically modified crops. If you are interested in this field then definitely you will enjoy doing and will be successful in long run definitely. It is a combination of biology and technology so it seems weird for engineering students in beginning but here teachers explan from basic to make us feel comfortable so the curriculum is quite interesting and good.

Placement Experience :

As usual since it is a top nit so placements are really good generally. From 6th semester students are eligible for placement. Top product based companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google , Facebook, so on Highest package from CSE:-88 LPA Average package:-17 lpa overall Following the Passion is the real degree to me. Almost 99% getting placed from CSE Bio Technology:- 70% Chemical Engineering:- 91% Civil engineering - 81% CSE - 99% EEE - 93% ECE- 90% ME- 90% METALLURGY - 82%

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Here in nits the fee structure is same for all branches. It also depends on caste category and income range. If your from sc/st/ph-100% waiver of tuition fee Full remission of the tution fee for general and OBC students whose family income is less than 1 lakh per annum. Remission of 2/3rd - if family income is between 1lakh to 5 lakhs. And for hostel it's same for everyone. Approx 1 lakh for annum. There are few scholarships for helping students. I belong to OBC income between 1lakh to 5 lakh per year So for me it's about 5 lakhs total fee without hostel. Hostel details Hostel seat rent per year 5000 for boys and 2000 for girls . Electricity and water charges per year 5500 Other fees per year 5500 Mess advance per semester 15000

Campus Life :

Fest Name Is Spring Spree About Spring Spree Conducted In April Month And Many Technical Feasts Asia'S Second Largest Central Library , Most Of The Bols Are Available Here Which Are Used By College Students. You Can Do Your Study In Exam Time Or Other Time. For The Freshmen At Nitw, A Freshmen Kabaddi, Ball Badminton, Tennis And Volleyball Open Is Held To Give Them Opportunity To Show Their Worth, And Year After Year, Fresh Young Talented Players Are Identified Who Are Groomed To Eventually Represent Nitw At The Annual Inter Nit Sports Meet. Many Student Run Social Groups, Clubs Like Association. Club. Epic Projects. Ieee. Ncc & Nss.

Admission :

Admission is through JEE MAINS rank In nits we have 50% home state quota means 50% seats for home state students and remaining all over India. Eligibility is75% in PCM overall and written jee mains you can check nta jee mains official website for application form, fees, dates which will be released generally in October end. Reservation benefits are GENERAL EWS- 10% OBC NCL - 27% ST - 7.5% DC- 15% It's quite becoming easy mainly in physics and chemistry. But maths level is good overall it's based on pyq trends so practise mostly PYQS for good rank atleast in jee mains for nit. Timings of exams are generally first attempt in January and secondary attempt in April. It is of 3 hrs exam of 90 questions 30 each in a subject which includes 20 single correct question and 10 numericals where you have choice to attempt any 5.

Faculty :

The teacher's are among the best faculty members regarding the teaching and also very much helpful to the students. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it makes students ready for real work. The faculty to student ratio is good meaning you can find a professor for a student easily. Faculties are well experienced and interested very much. We can interact with teachers easily and clear our doubts. Some of them are really good and have a lot of patience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I think that most of us the course curriculum was outdated as it is older than the birth of the students According to my understanding I suggest you to update the curriculum based on the current technology and advancement in the industry requirements

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is the old not updated overall since decades many subjects are included which are not practiced in real world. Theory subjects should be removed and practical coding subjects should be included which covers the real world applications.

There will be several placement drives conducted each year. Many students get placements through these drives. If not can get jobs off campus with good gpa of 7-10 in graduation. Can also go further higher studies if interested.

Remarks:

On my personal experience, I would say that college is very strict and they have closed gate that is not accpectable. Even they will not permit you to leave the campus without the permission from the required faculty.
