Advanced Building and blocks for research and study
highly advanced equipment for research .

Dislikes

college is far away from city and any urban area.
lack of inteaction with seniors that student must get.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have Course Computer Science which mainly deal with coding and problem solving . Along with time you willl learn Coding . And you will also learn real world problem solving skill. I think course is very good . The exams are mainly hanled twice a semester which comes with both medium and hard level questions.

Class Size : 85Course Fees : INR 800000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Student can apply for internship in any year and internship opportunities comes every time there is a semester break. and you must have a internship once in college during graduation. There is both paid and free internships.

Placement Experience :

After completionof third year student can start applying for placements . There is a special placement cell that invite companies for campus placement like google , facebook, microsoft etc. And hishest package as I know is 84 lpa this year. And almost 96 percent student get placement. If not they can later apply for job .

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fees vary along with the course you choose but not too much it mainly revolve around 10 Lakhs. And you can alos get education loan in Bank in Campus which is not so hard to claim and you have to pay the loan after completing the degree. And scholarship is given if your annual income is lower than a certain level depending on scholarship you chose.

Campus Life :

Many fests are being celebrated in campus like clutural fest zietgiest , tech fest Adivitya and sports fest Arohan and many more . Along with this many clubs run than you can join like Alpha Club , Filmiski and Andekha the acting clum and many more .

Hostel Facilities :

In hostel there is free wifi and lan port in each room so you don't have to worry about internet. And you will get bed chair and study table. And hostel registration is very simple adn fast . for mess you have to pay additionaly and than you can eat in timing given and quality of food is decent.

Hostel Fee : INR 25000 per year

Admission :

For addmission in IIT Ropar and even in any IIT you have to clear entrance exam name JEE Advance . On the basis of your rank in exam colleges are being alloted. And If you have any reservation then you can get better college even with low rank.

From passing 2nd year onwards students are eligible for the placements classes which costs around 10-12k till 4th year. I'm from mechanical field so the highest package is around 18 lakhs and average package goes to 4-6 lakhs.

I was doing bachelor of Technology in computer science. Starting from the classroom to the computer labs , everything is available and well maintained. You learn programming and languages with the help of faculty and for every student there is computer available with all equipments. Inside LPU: Student's prespective

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as I was passionate about coding from my 10th class and technology always fascinates me. In our class, total students were 70 which was same for most of the sections. Some faculty members of my college were good while most of them were tolerable. Most of them had masters degree and some had done PhD. They were focused mostly on the curricullum designed by the university and completed syllabus within the timeline.Our college had separate marks for attendance and any student with below 75 attendance will not be able to give end term exams except for some medical condition. We had CAs (class assement exams), mid term exams and end term exams. The CAs are little bit higher level as that of mid and end terms exams. Overall exams are moderate to higher and someone who had studied the syllabus topics and followed the faculty members will easy pass the exam.

A Closer Look at LPU: A Student's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Placement of cse is very good with respect to other branches. Almost 70–80% of eligible students(having cgpa more than 6.67) get placed in different mnc’s. 1.package less than 4 lacs 80% of placed students get package of less than 4 lacs in companies like cognizant,tcs,techmahindra etc. 2.package in between 4–7 lacs 15% of placed students falls in this category,they get companies like bosch,yodlee,hitachi etc. 3.package of approx 15 lacs Remaining 5% students get placement in amazon(package 16 lpa) which visit lpu every year.

Only one thing I hate about college is they don't paint the building outside of the whole college for income tax purpose I think this is very disappointing thing of the college But otherwise College is good.
