Our college has a very good research culture. Making it one of the best second tier iit.
Profs are young and are understanding and tech very well.

Our college has a little underdeveloped campus. Although the buildings that are made are pretty well. But things like indoor court are missing. But it has been said that it will be made available soon
The investment in clubs is a little less i think. Our colleges primary focus is on academics

Course Curriculum Overview :

I think where iit lacks is its old curriculum. We are still studying english geography biology while being an engineering student. The teaching methods i think is up to date. While there is a scope of improvement in the curicullum the missing parts are taken care by some professors or by student clubs.

Class Size : 80Course Fees : INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships in our college are not the best but still we get a loymt of companies coming in our cillege and getting students to do Internships for a decent amount. While some students also get pre placement offers while doing Internships.

Placement Experience :

From third year we can sit in our placement cell. The placement of our college is preemtty good. The average package overall is about 20 to 25 lakhs per anum and about 32 lakhs for cs branch. Almost 80 to 90 percent of students get placed in cs branch. Highest package this year is about 58 lakhs( domestic ).

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

1st semester tution fees for general students is about 113000 and the hostel fees including mess is about 29000. Thereafter for the remaining semesters the tutuin fee is about 1lakh and the hostel and mess fees is about 19000. For sc st category the tution fee is about 7000.

Campus Life :

This is where i think our college lacks. There exists many clubs but the investment in the clubs is pretty low. Although students try their level best to excel in their respective clubs but it is very difficult. The infrastructure of our academics is very good.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels of our college is pretty awesome as they are new and we have regular cleaning service. While the mess is clean too but the food does not even come close to what we eat at home. The washrooms of our college are decent

Hostel Fee : INR 30000 per year

Admission :

To take admission in this college you will need to crack jee advanced with a decent enough rank. For cs vranch in general category the cutoff was about 2000 rank. I chose this college over other as it is closer to my hometown(mohali) and as my teachers told me it had a good reputition for computer science branch

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is pretty high in our college which is a very beneficial thing for us. The level of exams in our college is pretty decent while passing the exam i think is peetty easy as the frequencies of exam is pretty high. To break it down for a subject there are quizes, mid sem , viva, end sem.

After 6th semester students are eligible for internship had placements. The companies which generally comes for placements are google, wipro, deloitte, Microsoft, HCL, TCS, LnT, Cisco, Infosys etc are some of the highest recruters in chitkara university.
