- There is a very very huge variety of food shops and u can find literally anything to eat inside the campus and its not soo expensive
Dislikes
- There are uniforms in college and if u don’t wear one there is a fine pf Rs 50 and after taking fine they also don’t give attendance in class.
- U cannot leave the campus before 3:30pm and college gets over at 4 pm and if u want to leave the campus u have to talk to mentor write an application get it signed by mentor with a stamp at dean offices and the mentor also talk to your parents
Course Curriculum Overview :
Courses at chitkara university are well structured emphasizing on both practical and theoretical knowledge through their classroom teaching as well as having labs for certain subjects where students can experience hands on practice. The staff here consists of well experienced faculty members. It also have many industry experts led sessions providing industry insights and knowledge essential for the corporate world.
Placement Experience :
After 6th semester students are eligible for internship had placements. The companies which generally comes for placements are google, wipro, deloitte, Microsoft, HCL, TCS, LnT, Cisco, Infosys etc are some of the highest recruters in chitkara university. The average pakage is 5-6 lakh per annum and the highest package is around 1cr LPA . The campus usually tells us to keep the CGPA more than 7, I will go to foreign country after my degree
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I have to pay 85000 per semester which add up to 170000 per year and they also took 25000 extra at the time of admission which they refers to as chalkpad charges which is an app where we can se our attendence marks etc. My batch is 2022 and every year the fees is increased by 25000. I also opted for bus in my 1st year which was around 38000 and this year its 42000. There is also a uniform charge which they charge us after admission which is 9000 rs but its not compulsory. Rest there is no charges. I don't know about management,SC, BC but i don't think there is any difference in that because its private university. During my admission i don't think there was any scholarship program.
Campus Life :
Our university consists of several clubs which host various annual and technical feativals. We have a club called coding ninjas which host several technical events and also other clubs which host cultural events like singing competition shayari etc. overall the social envionment here is nice providing a good exposure to such events and boosting one's self confidence along with providing the opportunities to showcase their talent. Several hackathons also take place in which great rewards are given and all these events occur monthly or in every two weeks by different clubs . Also sports event do happen and students participate in the sports of their choice
Admission :
I chose this college over other colleges for the reason as it was near to my home place providing me an option to travel daily from home to college amd vice verse. Secondly all the government colleges demands for good jee rank which unfortunately i didnt scored and that limits my area of selection for colleges. And other reason was the high fees of some colleges. Whereas for my college admission process was smooth we had an interview for the admission and upon selection our seat was confirmed . I chose this college compared to others because of good infrastructure the decorum security and safe envionment it has and also including a well experienced staff.
Faculty :
Some faculty is very nice and some are very bad generally its bad. Every semester there is one coding subject one theory subject and 1 or 2 coursera courses which are compulsory to do otherwise u fail in that course and have to pay 2500rs to reapply. There are 2STs of 40 marks and End Term of 60 to 100 marks depends on subject and after all percent u have to get 40 percent marks to pass the subject.
Night Life :
The college night life has gone to trash there is no night life of chitkara university. As i told the college is overcrowded due to which there is an evening batch which goes from 4pm to 9 pm for hostel students and there is hardly any show in our college only there some actors come which don't sing they are just for their movie promotion. Chitkara never spend money on these things and there is nothing putside our college. If u want to enjoy go to Chandigarh which is 35Km away.
