Being the CR of my branch I do get many appreciations from my teachers and friends as I serve as a bridge between the students and the teachers.
My hostel friends serve as my mood balancer. They are always there in my good as well as difficult times.

Dislikes

The mess food is just unbearable. Reading the menu one gets too many temptations to eat but once one starts eating then it tastes is just unberable.
Being a very big campus, its difficult to travel from one place to another easily

Course Curriculum Overview :

Based on the marks I scored, I did get a seat in the food processing branch of NIT, Rourkela. It teaches me various technologies that can serve as a boon in the nearby future relating to the advancement of technologies that the future upholds for us.There are 2 semesters per year and exams are based on the semesters.

Class Size : 37Course Fees : INR 530000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Our college provides lot of internships opportunities. We do hear from our seniors that many of them have gone for the 3 months or the 6 months of internships programmes some of which are paid whereas others are non paid ones gaining experience.

Placement Experience :

Serving as the reputed college of Engineering, National Institute Of Technology, Rourkela plays a very significant role in providing placements. Based on the skills that the student possess various companies come to hire them from all over the world offering them good packages.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our college provides a lot of internships to the students who can fulfill the criteria. Also, various educational loans are available to us so that we can continue with our studies smoothly. Being an OBC category student, I have to pay 530000 with which we can get several benefits of hostel facilities and mess food.

Campus Life :

In our campus, there are nearly 60 clubs that are available to us which provides us with several opportunities which can develop our skill and also enhances our habits of punctuality and time management. Speaking about the campus life it is huge with an area of 1200 acres which makes it the largest campus in all NITs.

Hostel Facilities :

Our college provides us with one of the largest hostel named VS (Vikram Sarabhai) Hall Of Residence with approx of 1000+ rooms in which a single room is available for two students. It has a mess which provides us with 4 time meal i.e. breakfast,lunch, dinner and snacks.

Hostel Fee : INR 10000 per year

Admission :

As soon as I cleared the JEE entrance examination we attempted for the JOSAA counselling rounds and then got a seat in the National Institute Of Technology, Rourkela and further proceeded through all the admission processes.

Average college within the state at affordable cost and prosperous future

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because at that time I was keenly interested in Engineering drawings, architecture, construction as well as estimations and costing. Here the faculty-student ratio is approx 1:18. Almost 1/3rd of the faculty are permanent and have a doctorate and they are well experienced. Guest faculties are also from prestigious colleges holding masters and bachelors. Examinations were conducted regularly in class as well as there used to be 2 internals in a sem and one end sem exam. Questions were set by the BPUT and it was moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

College claims to provide 100% placements to its students, Students from the 7th semester can sit in placements. Many big companies come to recruit on campus every year like Amazon, Dell, Accenture, Wipro, cognizant. The HIghest package was Rs 39lpa by amazon. Profiles like data analyst, software developer, coding, data scientists etc are offered by companies. I am planning to take up an IT sector job

Honest College Review

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester onwards. Companies like Ajatus, Byjus, Wipro , Infosys offer placement opportunities in our college. The placement rate has deteriorated over the past 5 years. Earlier 50 %-80%students were placed but now only 20%-30%are placed. Earlier the highest package was 10 LPA and the average package was 4LPA. Now the rate has decreased greatly. The college still tries its best to bring companies. Earlier the placements were more of on-campus placements but now it's mostly off campus. The training and placement cell hence prepares students for the recruitment process and selects the best students and gets them placed. After getting the degree I would be applying for interviews on the technical line off-campus and side by side I would do my higher studies like M.TECH.
