Remarks :
I had applied in Josaa counselling and bits, however, KIIT was offering a computer science related stream, Hence I left other and joined here. No, I am a General category student and had cleared JEE mains as well as Advanced, but due to low rank, I was unable to secure a seat. To get a seat into KIIT, one has to score good marks in KIIT, and based on scores and ranks, streams are allotted. The admission process was smooth, Administration worked smoothly to ensure we face no problem online. We were also provided with a high end laptop.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In my senior secondary education, I had found my interest lies in solving circuits as well as software thus this was the best stream suitable for me. In KIIT, the faculty: student ratio is about 1:50. Most of the faculty is M.Tech and PhD as well. Professor has great knowledge of their field. In online mode, Professor shares their own PPT and preset it to teach. Books pdf are also shared by the college itself, Faculty can explain their topic clearly and fluently. Term exams were of easy level, If someone has moderate knowledge of the subject, They can easily pass.
Internships Opportunities :
many companies namely amazon, dell, Wipro come every year to offer internships. Most of the internships are stipend based and provide adequate stipends. Profiles like data scientists, coding jobs are mainly present.
Placement Experience :
College claims to provide 100% placements to its students, Students from the 7th semester can sit in placements. Many big companies come to recruit on campus every year like Amazon, Dell, Accenture, Wipro, cognizant. The HIghest package was Rs 39lpa by amazon. Profiles like data analyst, software developer, coding, data scientists etc are offered by companies. I am planning to take up an IT sector job
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There's no particular fee hike policy in college. It mainly depends on the administration when the fee bar has to be raised. It takes a total of 4.16lakhs per year to study in this college along with 65k for Ac hostel rooms and 21k for non-ac rooms. Alumni scholarships are available onboard. There are merit scholarships. However, a campus job is not available.
Campus Life :
KIIT Fest is the name of the annual fest. It is held in February every year. The library is huge having a variety of books, research journals and e-books are provided by the e-library of the college. Classes are air conditioned, have a projector, and benches, there are separate labs equipped with the proper technology. The campus has its own cricket ground, badminton and tennis courts, and parks to walk in. Namely, all types of clubs are present in college, like coding, dance, music, theatre, literature, sports, Openmic, comedy club and even robotics club
Hostel Facilities :
Ac, as well as non AC rooms, are present on campus, I have opted for an AC room, which has a cupboard, almirah, study table, chair, lamp, AC and a washroom. The quality of food served is average and the menu has a variety of vegetables as well as non-veg. Snacks and breakfast are tastier. Hostels are provided by the management of the college and are moderately expensive. These are available for external students residing outside Bhubaneshwar. My hostel is present on the campus itself.
