Remarks :

To get admission one needs to attend the Jee main examination and then the aggregate rank is calculated based on 12th and jee main after that one has to apply for different colleges in the state through the ojee website. Then you will get a call letter for admission based upon your rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I had chosen this course because at that time I was keenly interested in Engineering drawings, architecture, construction as well as estimations and costing. Here the faculty-student ratio is approx 1:18. Almost 1/3rd of the faculty are permanent and have a doctorate and they are well experienced. Guest faculties are also from prestigious colleges holding masters and bachelors. Examinations were conducted regularly in class as well as there used to be 2 internals in a sem and one end sem exam. Questions were set by the BPUT and it was moderate to difficult level.

Internships Opportunities :

Internshala provides internships to students on the basis of their choice and it is created through the college. Students take part in various projects and undergo training and make it easier for them to get into companies during or after their graduation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is 1.4 lakhs approx for 4 years UG and 60k for 2 yrs Pg. There is no such hike in the fee structure within the four years that I had spent there but somehow hostel fees vary according to the mess in charge but that is very minimal. There are 2-3 scholarships for economically weaker sections and sc/st, minorities such as Prerna, medhabruti.

Campus Life :

Mainly cultural fest, sports and tech fests are conducted from March-April. Sports is named as Arena where the cult is named as Exuberance that is conducted for 3 nights. Along with that tech, fests are conducted parallelly with the cult at day time. Mostly you will find all books in the library and the college is going to construct a new central library within the college. Classrooms are cleaned and well equipped. Extra activities include NSS, NCC, Quiz competitions, cultural celebrations etc. There are more than 5 clubs for dance, song, sports, Ride, photography etc.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Remarks:

This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Placement Experience:

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
