Course Curriculum Overview :

course curriculum of electrical engineering is comhrehensive. professors are very intelligent and teaches according to the industry standrds. the difficulty level of exams is moderate to difficult and exams occur four times a year.

Class Size : 122Course Fees : INR 110000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

in electrical engineering there are ample internship opportunies are there in the oncampus. companies like texas instruments,qualcomm and many more companies come to hire students for internships and fte.

Placement Experience :

placements and internship opportunies are very good in our college. internships starts in third year and placements in fourth year. many companies visit our campus like google, amazon,microsoft,texas instruments,qualcomm,etc. average package of electrical engineering is about 18lpa.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

the tutioin fees is 62000 rupees per semester. mess fees is about 30000 per semester. hostel seat rent is about 5000 rupees per semester. and other fess are also there like medical fees,exam fees,electricity fees ,library fees,etc.

Campus Life :

campus environment is very good. there are four fests in our college like innovision is annual technical fest,vridhi is annual sports fest ,nitrutsav is litrary and cultural fest and last one is cosmopoliton , a cultural fest.

Hostel Facilities :

two students have to share a singlr room till third yeat after that single room is provided to fourth year students. a table ,chair,fan,tubelight, beds also provided in the hostel rooms. hostels are affordable and we have to pay only 5000 rupees for one semester.

Hostel Fee : INR 10000 per year

Admission :

admission in nit rourkela was done on the basis of my jee mains rank. my jee mains rank was 14053 and i got electrical engineering in fifth round of jossa councelling. after that my documents are verified online . after that physical verification of documents was done at the nit rourkela campus. after physical verification of documents ,i was alloted a mentor basically a faculty advisor who guides us all about the college rules and regulations. after that orientation took place and we were taught how to live in the campus following certain rules and regulations. exams happens 4 times in a year in two semesters,spring semester and autmn semester. mid semester exams and end semester exams. autmn sem starts from july and ends in november while spring semester starts in january and ends in april. hostels are provided to every student and for first three years we have to share a common with another student of our choice. after third yera itself we are provided single rooms. mess also provid

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

KIIT- The Real Truth Of College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is similar to all the colleges. but the extra curricular facilities provided by the college, differen societies present in differen domain will help you in growing your skills and knowledge in your sector. College keep organising tech fest, alumini meet, and global awareness meeting to keep the students up to date with present world. Course curriculum can be improved, I personally think, many new elective subjects are added which are not beneficial for my stream CSE.And the attendace is very compulsury for getting ood marks. Smart Boards and White Board teaching ares used which depends on teacher's choice. There is normally two exams in a semester , midsem of 20 marks in time 1hr 30 min, and endsem exam of 50 marks in 3 hr, and the rest marks depend on subject faculty. Mostly examination level is normal , if you are good student you can cover the syllabus in 1 week before exam.

Good facilities that needs to be grabbed.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario for now it not that good. There is regression going on so the companies aren't taking that many students. From the 3rd year you are eligible for placements. 450 companies came this year for placements making 5200 job offers. The highest placement this year was 63 lacs by Yugabyte. Average CTC is 8.5 lacs in all streams. Mass recruiters like Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Mindtree, Bosch, Ericsson, IBM etc. Many other notable companies that visited are Bain & Company, CME group, DE shaw & co, JP Morgan Chase etc. According to kiit website, 90% students are placed. 2100 students also got internships via capstone route. My plans after getting the degree is to do a job for some years and then after getting some experience I want to do a startup.
