The subjects taught in the curriculum are as per the New Education Policy (NEP). We are taught about DC machines(motors, generators, etc.), AC currents, power systems, and digital and analog electronics which are useful in industrial work. Some improvements in the course curriculum can be made such as - reducing some syllabus that are only meant to be for exams and not in the field so that students get more time for relevant projects and learn new things. Exams are conducted once every two months. A semester is four months. The difficulty level is moderate but you have to really study well to do well in exams.

KiPractically applicable subjects like Electrical Engineering and Electronics are taught via trained professors having a vast field experience , which makes the learning process very interactive and lively with their implementation of real life problems. The syllabus can be updated based on recent changes but it still remains the same as it was years ago in the institute . The exam here is not really difficult and can be easily cracked with a day's preparation .

Because this is a circuital branch and I have little bit intrest in it. I think ratio is quit good .they should improve the teaching quality content and don't focus only on the English talking . Timing is quit good but they should give step mark and don't cut the question because of the wrong answer .

I got the course during josaa councelling. This course is more hectic then expected. It feels like a load and the faculty members are not so helpful here. They have very good qualification but not good teaching quality. The exams are very tough and strict in here.

Electrical engineering is one of the best branch of engineering allover the world. Here electrical engineering syllabus is quite large and a little bit tougher than other nit. But the facilities are too good and their way of teaching is too much good.
Based on NIRF rankings, both NIT Rourkela and MNNIT Allahabad are among the top 5 NITs. Apart from a massive campus, NIT Rourkela has nothing else to boast of in terms of academics or job opportunities. That being said, the Electrical Engineering department at MNNIT Allahabad is great both in terms of quality of education as well as placements. It's hard to find good faculties in any of the NITs these days but MNNIT Allahabad seems to have better than most NITs. Their excellence is reflected in the performances of the students in GATE.
Additionally, MNNIT Allahabad gives equal importance to extracurricular activities, fests, and sports to ensure the overall grooming of the students. Another perk of joining MNNIT Allahabad is its excellent connectivity owing to the variety of trains running to and fro.
Like any other institute the food served is average and students might feel difficult to adapt to college life initially but once you have spent a few weeks, you will get adapted to the culture soon
MNNIT Allahabad is better for Electrical Engineering. It offers better placement opportunities and exposure. The placement rate for the branch is around 97%. The average salary package offered for the branch stays in the range of INR 8 LPA - 9 LPA. The highest CTC goes up to INR 49 LPA. Microsoft, Adobe, Uber, Atlassian, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive.
You need to compare the two universities to make a decision between the two. Having friends studying in both the institutes, I might be able to help you with the question.
