My IITG Experience

Dislikes

  • Clubs recruitment is not fair. Lot of politics.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose chemical because thats what i was getting in iitg. But i am the happiest to have this branch cause in iitg chemical is the easiest branch. Professor gives good grades and its the most chill branch in iitg

Internships Opportunities :

Getting internship is tough for non circuital branches. Only 20percent get on campus. 50percent of top branches get intern. All roles are offered, sde, consultant, webd, finance, analyst, product manager.

Placement Experience :

Campius placements happen in 7th semester in the month of december. In chemical 87percent got placed last year. Avg package 1800000 pa. Highest 50lakh pa. Big companies recruit like google microsoft bcg

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees is 260000 for 1 year for general students and 60000 for sc/st. There are also fee waiver if they have low income certificate. Most scholarship are for sc/st or ews students. Placement is quite decent. 87? got placed last year

Campus Life :

There are four fest. Cultural called alcheringa, tech fest called kriti , sports fest spardha and entrepreneurship event udgam. A good time to be in college. Dont need to buy books all available in library. AC classrooms

Hostel Facilities :

Double occupancy room in first two years. Last two years have single occupancy. Food is quite good in some hostels . All kinds of food available, north south. Cateen also available and a juice center.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've been enthusiastic about exploring more about software and programming which influenced me to choose the course of Computer Science Engineering. With further development of artificial intelligence, it opens up better learning and job opportunities for students. In my university, computer science is taught by experienced teachers and faculty but it would be better if they were more inclusive of certain topics which are extremely important for the students and raising the level of teaching including practical learning and understanding and also examining the student's capability is one of the aspects to be included.

To be honest, placements were dissapointing however it is getting better day by day. The major hindrance is the location factor but TnP cell works very hard to bring companies and to provide students with equal opportunities.
